I am so happy to have a music store so close to my home. The owner is very kind and extremely knowledgeable, going above and beyond to answer any of my questions. There is a wide arrange of things to buy, from musical instruments to books to earrings and more! They also offer repairs and lessons here, which is very handy. I will definitely be returning and telling my friends about this place!

Love these people. So incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They really took extra time to help me in my search for just the right guitar. I look forward to future purchases and service from them.

Don can be a bit rude and condescending. I want to support the small business local guys, but just a little more respect would go a long way.

I hadn't been in the new store yet, what a difference! The displays looked great, well-lit. Had everything I needed. Recommended.

A great music store! Don helped me adjust a guitar right in the store because they were blasted with too much luthier work at the time. The also set up my seven string that is set up *perfectly*. The intonation is perfect, it stays in tune, and the action is just the way I requested. I'm very picky - but this shop has earned my trust and respect. Thank you!

Good helpful people who know what they're doing. Lots of selection for musicians of all types. Things can get a little pricey as with any specialty shop. Never left here disappointed by my experience.

Great little shop! Nice staff cool gear. More midrage price with some higher end sprinkled in. Pretty cool amp selection too for bass or guitar!

Awesome shop, feels like a guitar shop, rather than a Wal Mart. A real good experience.

I recently took my ukulele here for some issues with fret buzz. Even though it was a very busy Saturday afternoon, Don managed to find the time to do a thorough job of diagnosing the problem and discussing options with me.I'm from a family of musicians, and was raised to have a lot of respect (bordering on awe) for a good luthier. Don is definitely that kind of luthier. Like a musical-instrument whisperer. He was able to quickly diagnose not just the obvious potential sources of the buzz (neck starting to warp, two high frets) but also other important factors (old strings, my fretting technique). He took the time to answer my questions, and was able to help me understand the relative importance of the different things that could contribute to the buzz. (Eg. Although there were issues with the neck and frets, the action was high enough that the frets shouldn't be able to cause that buzz, and didn't buzz when he played. The real main cause of the buzz was my fretting technique, which he showed me how to correct).I went with his recommendations and instead of doing repairs got new strings and am working on improving my fretting technique. The money I was planning to spend on repairs will eventually go towards a new ukulele instead (and when the time comes, he has a great selection in his store!). The only cost of today's visit was the money for the strings, but the advice I received was worth at least ten times that!!!Thank you Don!!!

I aquired a Fender Squire Strat and brought it in ti Jensen Guitars for some modifications. The folks at Jensen did a fantastic job, at a very reasonable price. The work done was first rate. Don is a very easy person to deal with and knowledgeable. The tech who did the work, jillane, is the best. Thank you Jensen Guitars, I couldn't be happier.

I've been visiting Jensen Guitars for the better part of a decade. For repairs, it's great: I've had set-ups, neck resets, bridge/nut work, cracks repaired etc and the repairs were always well done and reasonably priced. I've bought several instruments there and have always enjoyed the selection of new/vintage/consignment instruments. The last time I was in there were everything from the regular Fender/Gibson/PRS to Danelectro, Hagstrom-- even a Rickenbacker 330 on the wall. The selection changes pretty regularly, and consists largely of electric guitars and basses, amps, and acoustic guitars/banjos/mandolins/violins. A few keyboards and percussion too. The selection has grown since they recently moved up the street. GREAT selection of accessories too-- surprisingly large selection of instrument cases. Don is great-- always shoots you straight, great advice and he has a great team. Having shopped around Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette and Louisville for my go-to store and luthier, Don and Jensen Guitars are it.

Called to ask about equipment and amplifiers to play certain types of music. The woman who answered the phone wasn't knowledgeable about that and tried to end the conversation there. I had to make a visit to the store and follow up with another employee. The store is small and cramped. Had a moldy smell to it. I ended up going to the guitar store down the ways on main st and it was a night and day difference. Great customer service with a clean, bright store.

I have a Gibson J200 “Jumbo” acoustic guitar. Bought it new in 2012. Unfortunately, in 2015, it knocked over, and the head stock broke.I had it repaired at a high-end guitar shop in San Francisco. I had to bring in back twice, but they never really made it right. I was very disappointed. It never played right, the auction was lousy, and make things worse, it started to re-break after I moved to Boulder/Longmont in 2021.Now the good news!I brought it in to Don and his staff last December. He told me they could fix it, but to do it correctly it would take a long time. Several months. As promised, several month’s later, it was ready for pick up. The head stock is now solid. They also made very nice cosmetic repairs to in other parts of the guitar that I had caused over the years. They over exceeded my expectations by 100 miles! It plays better than it ever did, the action is perfect, and there’s no buzzing. I am extremely happy. My disappointment is we had to move away from Colorado.I will truly miss Jensen Guitars. Honest, professional and caring. The best!Ken BobekSacramento, CA

Fantastic shop. I've been in and out of many music shops in my life time and this is one of those shops truly keeping music alive. The people that work here are knowledgeable and passionate about music through and through. With a good selection of gear and equipment available in house you can't go wrong going here. If you are looking to sell your instrument they also do that as well. I don't just highly recommend this place, I urge you to go and appreciate this upstanding location of music!
