* large bouldering area * bar area (I didn't get a chance to check out) * clean * well-textured walls CONS: * Very small top rope/lead area, seems to be only 25% of the building. * For the size/footprint of the building, the top rope/lead area seems like an afterthought. They could easily fit the bouldering they currently have (that takes up about 75% of the building) into 40% of the footprint and make 60% of the climbing top rope/lead. * Top rope/lead walls are vertical, no features, no overhangs, no cracks * Routes are wildly soft. When climbing strong (for me) I top out at 11c/d. My first visit to the new LLC, I climbed a "5.13" clean. I am NOT a 13 climber; I'm barely an 11 climber. I've talked to many people who top rope, boulder, and lead, and the general consensus is that they didn't talk to the climbing community when designing the space. This held such promise so the disappointment felt even more significant. All of that said, this will be a great place for kids' parties, or beginner climbers, but it is not the world-class gym that was promised. It's not even a serious gym. I do think a remodel could save this place. If this ever happens, I'd suggest involving the climbing community. It still has the potential to be a decent climbing gym. Here's a thought for the owners - host a climbing community night with an open forum at the end of the night; field questions and suggestions from all who attend and make some changes (if possible).

We had to wait for an hour to get belay certified, not exaggerating! I'm injured and cannot boulder, so we had to sit and wait for the staff to give us a belay test, before we could climb. I'm assuming the majority of the staff cannot perform basic belay tests, since 2 out of 3 front desk people were just standing there staring at us, while we sat there staring at them. After watching the staff chit chat for a while (we'd been wait about 30 minutes already) I asked if they had time to perform our test, and was told they would get to it when it wasn't so "busy". It was a busy day, but there was plenty of time to give us a test, instead of watching people fill out waivers for 15 minutes. I'm already certified so we only needed 2 minutes of their time to get my partner top rope certified. Even a busy day at Movement Boulder, you'll never have to wait so long. On top of that, this gym has removed the majority of their auto belays, so I couldn't even warm up. Also, the rope drag on the top ropes is extremely excessive, so the whole experience was vastly unpleasant. I've had other issues with the gym since they opened the new facility, and since they have no contact email, I'm writing this public review. We have been members of this gym for several years, but probably not for much longer.

Love this facility and so glad to have such great (& needed) amenities in this area as a life-long local. It benefits the neighboring communities East of Longmont as well. The auto belay options/routes are great but it is one of the few facilities that doesn't have grigri's attached, although they are available to rent, which is nice. Bouldering routes are versatile & there are plenty of routes for every skill level.I have attended a couple yoga classes & highly recommend. They have classes that are beginner-friendly and slow paced. Instructors are nice. The exercise area seems to have everything needed for efficient workouts. It has been busy every time I have visited but I have never had to wait for a route. Front desk staff is friendly & welcoming as are all fellow climbers. All in all- great & well worth a membership ?? ??

New facility looks great. Just bouldered but it's fun how the gym sets comp style. Also nice you have auto belays. FYI, for old guys like me that use GPS. Pinnacle Street doesn't show up on Garmin yet.

All things considered, it's a great gym. However compared to the old longmont gym, the bouldering here is worse. The layout is unpleasant, resulting in a cramped space, extra crowded, and lots of standing around waiting for a turn. The old gym was serving bouldering as a 1st class service. This new gym does not. However the addition of high ropes is a welcomed addition. + the other amenities, it has a lot to offer. I'm just disappointed that the bouldering was downgraded, while every other service was upgraded. Nonetheless, it's a lovely gym that's tough beat

Big gym lots of creative routes, super well maintained and the comps are chill and fun. They are still getting set up in the new location, but would like to see more volumes, more features on the rope walls, and more hand holds to help get down boulder routes.

Brand new gym. I went there since my 8 year old is taking a class. We used to go to the old gym and liked that too. It’s great to have a world class facility like this in our backyard.

I've been waiting years for a full climbing gym to open in the Longmont! The bouldering gym was great. Unfortunately, i feel this gym was not designed with rock climbing at its core. There is nothing steep! There is no lead cave. There is no bouldering cave. The gym is almost all vert! It is an amazing place to take your grandparents top roping or to throw a little kid's birthday party. The fitness area is really nice, the staff is great, and I feel the route setters always do a fantastic job. Although, I kinda feel bad for them as they will have to get very creative with their setting now as almost everthing is just vertical. I look forward to the boardroom opening. Hopefully, it can still be a decent place to train. In short, the LCC missed the mark. There is still room for a real climbing gym in Longmont.

Avoid this place at all cost. Went to this place and the owners are downright rude. The place is poorly ran and they have no desire to even help you out when spending a lot of money. Not the type of place I would want to be around given how rude they are to a new climber.

One of the best little bordering gyms on the front range! Grading seemed on point, hang boards and retractable training walls for days, nice weights section, yoga studio, friendly staff, good shoe selection with free Wi-Fi, and no massive crowds like the other gyms! Almost enough to make a guy want to move to Longmont.

Love this place. The people who works there are proper gangstas. Minimalistic gym but has everything you need. Probably the best bouldering gym I’ve been to. I go here 3-4 times a week.

This place is awesome, sometimes you walk into climbing gyms and they're unpolished and you can tell the attention to detail just isn't there. But the LCC is awesome, it's super clean, the staff is always amazing and the routes are legit. It's a great place to drop in or hold a long term membership

One of the best gyms around. Great routes, always kept clean, and awesome community for climbers of all skill levels. Memberships are a little expensive but well worth it if you're a regular climber.
