It pains me to write this, because I truly love my actual doctor (Dr. Kandyba), and love 2 of the friendly girls up front that know me and my dogs well because I come in so often. However despite absolutely loving my doctor, unfortunately I don't feel that I can continue bringing my dogs to LSAH due to the disrespect, plain rudeness, and verbal abuse that specifically Sheri and Karen up front have always shown towards not just me, but so many other customers, and even their employees.I have been using LSAH since 2019, and have been such a loyal and frequent customer. I do have 6 dogs, but in 2023 alone I was there 35 times, which averages to about twice a month every month. At one point last year I almost found a different vet because Karen was so incredibly rude that I didn't want to work with them anymore, but stayed because I loved my doctor. The other morning I called and had the pleasure of Sheri answering, who is the practice manager, and never has been a kind person (to me, other customers, or her employees). She informed me that I would now need to pay a $70 deposit for every appointment I made, because last month I cancelled an appointment for 4 of my dogs who were scheduled a tech appointment for nail trims. This month I was already a bit frustrated with LSAH since I had wasted so much money with them. I paid $400 about 2 weeks ago for a blood test to see if my newly adopted dog was spayed. The test came back "inconclusive", so basically just a waste of $400.The day before I had my dogs scheduled for their tech appointment nail trims, I took a different dog of mine for a nail trim with my doctor, rather than a tech appointment because he has pretty bad nail trim anxiety and is familiar with our doctor. This nail trim costed me over $70 and didn't come back looking great. I also never once saw my doctor and suspected that she didn't actually do it since she never came to get him, bring him back, or talk to me. (The whole reason I paid extra was for her to be the one interacting with my dog because he knows her). For these reasons I decided to cancel the other's nail trims. Because of this, and "2 no shows in all of 2023" (even though I was there 35 times that year) they decided that I need to be charged a $70 deposit every time I make an appointment.I wasn't rude on the phone at all, just a bit annoyed and confused and asking Sherri to explain this to me. I've worked in dog rescue for 6 years and worked with so many vets and I've never heard of such thing. (Not to mention the 2 no-shows for me, I was SO insanely apologetic when they called and I realized I forgot about the appointment.)The way Sheri was talking down on me, and her sassy responses and tone of voice was so unprofessional.I understand that it's not ideal for them when I have to cancel an appointment (even if it's just a tech appointment for nail trims), but to charge me a $70 deposit for every appointment I make from now on, that cannot be refunded if I need to cancel is completely absurd. I've been coming here for 5 years and with 6 dogs I am there SO often, multiple times a month, every month.Life happens sometimes and plans and appointments need to be changed, rescheduled, or cancelled. All in all, I hate to go, but Sheri and Karen specifically need to work on their professionality, customer skills, and just their basic human decency. I'm really unsure why LSHA has these 2 women being the face of their company, because I know I am not the only one who has complained about the way they treat people. This instance is not the first that I have been so upset with the way they treated me or talked to me, it was just the last straw.

I love this place, they receive emergencies, they treat the animals well and they seem very humane and gentle with people and animals.

I have been to Longmont Small Animal Hospital first for urgent care care for my 6 mo. old puppy and then to establish regular care for her. My experiences have been outstanding. The care and concern they gave my pup was the best. They have gone out of their way to provide care, referrals as needed, and to follow up with her (unfortunate) hip dysplasia issues. She will need lifetime treatments and they have shown to truly be the greatest resource and I know with their guidance my puppy will be well taken care of and loved beyond belief!

I had to bring my Siamese cat, Whitey in for an emergency visit because of a UTI. They were able to see us very quickly for it being a last minute emergency and it was very fairly priced. She’s an older cat and can be very spicy with strangers but they were so sweet and gentle with her and were able to treat her right then and there so she could get back to feeling like herself. It was a very good experience, I would definitely bring my pets back there in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my kitty!

Staff is very nice and caring. But the pricing is appalling. $250 for a basic exam, one vaccine and bloodwork in prep of a neuter. The estimate for the neuter was over $700 on the low end with the possibility of going up to $1100. Even Forbes notes prices for 2023 as $500 being the top end for a private animal hospital. Please note that this is a perfectly healthy, medium sized, one year old dog (so there should be no issues or complications). We really wanted to establish care with a great vet that we could continue to bring our dogs to, but the cost was almost hurtful it was so high. The staff were extremely kind and did give recommendations for pet health insurances and a list of low-cost spay and neuter clinics. So unfortunately, we will have to have our pup’s surgery done elsewhere and are still on the look for a regular local vet with great care AND reasonable prices.

When we had an emergency situation with our rabbit, Longmont Small Animal Hospital was able to see her immediately and provided excellent care. It can be hard to find an exotics vet even for routine exams, so we were extremely grateful she was able to be seen so urgently! The care she received was excellent and we are so grateful to have a healthy bunny again after a very scary illness. Thank you to the entire team for the kindness and compassion!

I would definetly refer Longmont Small Animal Hospital to any and all. They treat your animals as though they were their own. At Esme & Mina's first appointment, the doctor wanted to go and show them around the whole practice, to share in their cuteness and love. That brought me much joy. They are also always so happy to see us when we come in. Thank you LSAH!

I appreciate how caring you were with our rescue Dane, Lucifer (Lou). I loved how affectionate he was with everyone there and how lovingly he was cared for. Highly recommend and will definitely be back when more Danes come into foster homes in your area.

Our 16 yr old yorkie had come to the end of his life and we were so heartbroken to see him go, the staff showed so much caring and compassion during the process and after. We will forever be grateful for the acts of kindness the staff showed during our difficult time.

I had an emergency situation with my almost one-year old mini dachshund. She ate 3/4 grapes that were in a bowl next to my desk. As you know, grapes are poisonous for dogs and can cause renal failure.I tried not to panic and called various vet clinics around the city and was recommended to call the Longmont Small Animal Hospital. I called them and they picked up right away, gave me a quote and they were only 10 mins away from my home. I walked in and they immediately took care of my dog. The staff, vet nurse and vet were all very kind, patient and understanding. They explained to me the process (inducing vomit, effects, after-care, etc.) and made me feel less anxious and stressed out. They were able to get my puppy to vomit all 3 grapes. They also offered her a reversal medication for the nausea that they injected. It was a quick turnaround and we were both able to go home in less than an hour. The price for the emergency visit was very reasonable. I'm thankful they were able to help my puppy right away and can't thank them enough!!

Stanley's visit was the best this time. Dr. Curan was so great. and his assistant as well. Hopefully, Stanley will be able to visit without meds.

We arrived just before closing and they took great care of our little one. All of the staff was friendly and helpful and they clearly explained our treatment options.
