This year, I bought a BCS tractor from the Longmont store. When I initially ordered the tractor I said I wasn’t in a big hurry so I could wait till they put together a store order so that I could get free shipping. Jenny said my order was big enough for free shipping anyway, so I said “get it ordered”, and paid my deposit. She called the distributor while I was standing at the counter, and they had everything I wanted in stock. A month passed without word so I called the store to check on the order. They didn’t know and had to call the distributor. No call back. Another month passed and I called back to check the status, and they said the distributor was waiting on a shipment. Well, I thought they had everything in stock. The next month was the same story. Four months passed when I finally got word that my order was getting shipped. My suspicion is that either the store was waiting for more orders to come in so they could offer free shipping to the other customers using my large order and made me wait for months or they didn’t place the order right away and the distributor sold my tractor and attachments from underneath me. Either way, a three week order turned into over 4 months.That’s not the end. They had one attachment sitting on the floor when I placed my order so I bought that one at the listed price and had them hold it till the tractor came in. However, once my order came in, they charged me several hundred extra dollars for that attachment I had already purchased, “because the price went up”; but I had already bought it! They overcharged me for a second attachment which I had to argue over and it was clearly printed on my quote. All in all, I had to go back in 3 times to adjust for overcharges. Then they realized they didn’t order all of the correct connectors, so they had to order more parts. I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING FEES BECAUSE IT WASN’T INCLUDED ON THE ORIGINAL ORDER! I had specifically worked with them to get free shipping for everything, now I’m paying extra because they had their heads up somewhere dark. I finally was able to pick my tractor up after months of waiting.I actually bought the tractor for my Dad, and one of the attachments was a water pump. While I was waiting months for the tractor to arrive, a forest fire swept across his property and burnt up several vehicles. If I had received the tractor on time, he may have been able to save his 1956 ford pickup.As I was unloading the tractor off of my trailer at my house after having just left the Mac Equipment store, I noticed several nuts had fallen off. Nuts that were put on when the tractor was assembled at the Longmont store; they didn’t even stay on for 5 miles of trailering!! I had to go to Ace and buy more hardware that was lost during transit from the store to my house less than 5 miles away!Jenny and the staff at the Longmont Mac Equipment were unknowledgeable, unprofessional, incompetent and money gouging. I WILL NOT be buying anything more from this store. It’s a shame, but I’ll have to drive into Denver or order from Earth Tools the next time I need anything. I wish I would have ordered from Earth Tools to begin with, but I was trying to stay local. Well, the locals tried to repeatedly screw me and couldn’t even tighten nuts down.Stay out of this store! I’m all for local and small businesses, but not ones that change the price of items you already bought and then charge you extra because they can’t order the right things from the beginning.

After years of doing business and spending thousands of dollars here, they ordered the wrong part and would not return it. No longer will we be doing business with them!

Very unhelpful. Called to bring a portable generator in for repair - and they said sure bring it in. I did and when I got there they said “oh we don’t work on that brand”. Would have been quite easy to say this on the phone before hauling it in.

I just wanted to express my gratitude for Mac Equipment!! first of all, they had the climbing gear that I needed, every other arborist supply location in Denver did not have what I needed. The staff there was overwhelmingly, helpful and overwhelmingly kind. On a side note, my truck just happened to break down in their parking lot and they were extremely supportive and tried to help me in every way. They completely understood my situation, they were not worried at all about my truck staying there overnight, they even told me to come in if I got cold while I was working on my truck. I will only use Mac equipment for any future equipment I need for my business! I had such a good experience with Mac that I don’t mind at all driving clear from Denver. Thanks again.

That place is amazing live in Denver trying to find some tree climbing equipment nobody had it Mac did so we drove up there place is awesome they got everything you'd ever need and then some definitely be buying more stuff from them in the future

Working with Ron, Tamara and crew is a breath of fresh air of just good old fashioned customer service. My new Spartan mower had a leak, because of a missing part from the Spartan plant and rather than blame it on Spartan a big box store would have done. Ron stepped up, found a solution and got our mower back ASAP. Now our lawn has never looked better. Oh, and Ron gave me some great inside tips on using a ZTR.

Mac Equipment, wow. Do you remember the old days of making equipment purchases? I’m 48 and I remember how it used to be. Mac Equipment is first rate. And they are stuck, in a good way, back in the old days with their ways. I purchased a Husqvarna 550xp. And like buying a car. They take your gear out back, fill both tanks and makes certain that what you’re buying is ready for work. Making sure it doesn’t need adjustment. I felt like I was buying a Porsche. I will never buy anything like this from any home improvement center ever again. First off, once you walk out the door you’re pretty much at their mercy. Sure you can return it, but wouldn’t you rather an actual professional look into it? Rather than go through several saws in the process. This is what they did for me and i cant begin to convey how grateful I am you guys are here. Thank you. Plus lets be honest, as a line clearance climber, this is Disney Land for guys like us. We love ya Mac Equipment.
