This was our daughter's first full time day care and the staff made it an absolute delight. The teachers really care about the kids and it shows. Our daughter's development has come a long way since enrolling her here and we'll always be thankful to the Sunset Academy team for that. As working parents the peace of mind this place provided us with was invaluable.

We have been at Sunset since our daughter was 12 weeks old. It has been a wonderful couple of years. She seems very comfortable at the school and seems to be thriving under their care. All of the staff is wonderful to work with. The directors Sammi and Nina are so kind and reply promptly to any questions or concerns that I have. We love the bilingual component of the school. Our little one can count to 5 in Spanish before she can in English! We really appreciate everything the school has done for our family.

Telling lies about former employees to potential new employers is classic defamation. Tread lightly. These are the type of actions that can put you out of business completely. I am so happy that my granddaughter no longer attends your awful school and my daughter is now gainfully employed providing quality care for children. Any further discussion and you will be served with litigation.

I just want to thank you, Gloria, Barbara, Nina, Katie and everyone who works there for being so, so amazing. Our 3 year old daughter had never been in full time childcare before and we had just moved across the country so lots of adjustments when she began attending in December of 2022. She loves Miss Gloria and Miss Barbara and is excited to go to school everyday. We love them too and are grateful our kiddo is in good, kind hands. The bilingual component introduced is incredible and we are so excited for all of it!We are forever grateful for your staff and program for making this transition a beautiful one. Looking forward to continue building a relationship with you all. ?I cannot thank you all enough!

We recently enrolled our 3 month old (now 6 month old) in the infant class with Ms Gabby, the main teacher in the infant room, she is AMAZING and so wonderful with all of the infants. She is so attentive, loving and caring toward the babies and makes sure they are entertained and very well cared for all day long. We know we are leaving our daughter in great hands with Ms. Gabby and cannot say enough wonderful things about her.

We started my daughter at Sunset Academy when she was almost 3 months old, and we've had a great experience. Ms. Katie has been absolutely amazing and our daughter loves her...we feel so fortunate to have Ms. Katie in her life. Ms. Savannah has also been wonderful since moving to the Teddy's room and is so attentive to all of the kids. We would recommend Sunset to anyone looking for daycare in Longmont.

Edited to reply: thank you proving my point Eric! I did not lie and provided documentation of inappropriate treatment of my child… including toys and her blanket being ripped from her hands. However… YOU lied by telling the licensing board that video is only kept for “5 days.” You have no business running a child care program… further. I did talk to the mental health professional and she said it was the ENVIRONMENT that caused my child to act out and harm, which as a TWO year old is developmentally appropriate… but again you have zero knowledge of child development, yet still make decisions at the detriment of children in your care. Also, my child has had zero issues at her new daycare besides the trauma response from being in your care! You have a pattern of being dishonest… every negative review on here has a reply from. I was also fair in my review and named the good parts about your daycare. However, under your leadership, I would warn EVERY single parent not to send their child to your establishment. This is a pattern that will continue to evolve. I am thankful my child is no longer in your care and she is so much happier and a different child since leaving Sunset.I take great pride in the work that I do therapeutically with children… and consequently have vast knowledge of child development and appropriate ways to support regulation and the overall social/emotional development of young children. My child was greatly failed by this establishment. She thrived her first year at Sunset and within a month of being moved to a new classroom, her behavior began to change. There was zero support and opportunity to problem solve or work with my 2.5 year old. Be cautious of sending your child to this daycare if they do not perfectly fit into a box of what is considered “normal.” The bright spot of this place, the director, Samantha Emmer, who has knowledge and understanding of child development. However, she is constantly ruled over by the owner who has no knowledge of child development and cares more about money in his pocket than the well being of the children in care at his establishment. There are several wonderful staff at Sunset, however, we are only as good as the person leading.

My son is in the Panda 1 classroom with Ms. Marissa and Ms. Jordan and they are the most incredible teachers I could have ever asked for (for my son)! They are fun, attentive, thorough, patient, and extremely kind. I am so happy that my son gets to spend a lot of his days with them. Sunset Academy, overall, is a wonderful school. All the other staff are warm and friendly and we are just so happy that our son goes to this school! They also serve the children creative and well-balanced meals as well as provide them with a great outdoor space to play.

We attended Sunset Academy for two years and loved the school. With our older daughter, we moved quite a bit during her daycare years so we have attended 5-6 other preschools. Sunset gave us a great services, friendly and professional staff, good communication, and our daughter is definitely academically ready for kindergarten.

My children went to this school. Things were going very well until a woman named Samantha Emmer started working here. I experienced a great deal of attitude, rudeness and unprofessionalism from this woman. She even went as far as to speaking under her breath in response when I had mentioned something about my son.Unfortunately this was not the only staff member with whom I experienced this rudeness and unprofessionalism. I also experienced this with James Kuang. The way that important matters and situations are handled here at Sunset Academy sadly cannot be held accountable for being done in a trustful and respectful way.Ultimately my children were forced to leave the school due to failed and neglected communication from the other party. This truly is unfortunate as my children were very attached to their friends and teachers.Matters between adults let alone problems that staff have with parents should never have to be taken out on the children

I have a son who started here at almost 2yo and another who started here at 3mo. It takes a lot for any parent to leave their precious children with strangers. They know that at sunset and allowed me to go in and meet the teachers beforehand. Katy is the main teacher in the infant room and she is WONDERFUL! She’s very communicative and she loves the babies like her own. James and Samantha are in the front when you come to check your kiddos in and out and they are also wonderful. All of the teachers, Alice, Gloria, Nicole, Cassie, Vanessa…I could go on and on, they are just a joy to be around and my toddler loves each one of them. If you are looking for a place you can trust to take care of and nurture your babies, be sure to look into Sunset Academy.

By far the best daycare in Longmont! We looked and looked for a suitable daycare in the Longmont area for a while. After trying a few which seemed promising at first, we quickly realized that what you get on your tour and what level of service is actually provided can vary greatly at some of the daycares. Not so with Sunset. Sunset Academy is by far the most professional daycare in the Longmont area. Superior service in comparison to the others. My daughter loves going to daycare and you can tell that the staff truly takes pride in their work. At some daycares the teachers show up to watch your kids, then they go home. It is just a job to them. I am so impressed by how professional the staff is with communication, cleanliness, and caring. They develop a relationship with your child and they smile as they talk about what fun things they got to do with your kids while they were there. I especially liked going to our parent teacher conference where they told us what they saw on a developmental level and how they were going to work with our daughter if we approved. Choosing a daycare is something to take seriously, after all your child will spend almost 1/3 of their time daily in this environment. I feel so comfortable having my daughter spend the day with Mrs. Nina, Miss Sammy, and all of the staff at Sunset Academy. Skip the searching around, call Sunset…Brad

My son has attended Sunset since 12 weeks old. I have nothing but good things to say about the center, they take wonderful care of the children, he learns, plays and has grown into such a smart little boy thanks to the development at Sunset. The teachers truly care about their jobs; the kids and always provide the best environment for my son. During the pandemic we were still able to take our son and he was still able to learn, grow and thrive in his classroom. Over the years there have been a lot of other great options for the kids including music and sports. Great center, affordable and great staff!
