If all you need is a trailer rental, GO TO HOME DEPOT. Uhaul requires their employees to hassle anyone and everyone coming in for a rental. I needed a trailer for three hours in the middle of the day. In colorado, trailer lights are not required in daylight. So, I wasn't even worried about my failing wiring harness. However, the front desk employee said they are required, per Uhaul policy, and there was nothing he could do about it. I went next door to the other storage facility that offers Uhaul (very confusing them being side-by-side). He said he didn't care about the lights, but didn't have a trailer. Long story short, I wasted an hour between these two locations. Drove over to Home Depot and had a trailer within 10 minutes.

We also got charged a $20 "after hours fee" that I've never gotten before renting a u-haul with no mention of it in person, despite the fact that I did specify I would need the truck for 12 hours. It is specified on the contract but it is in no way clear.Additionally, they snuck in 3 gallons of gas on my bill (another roughly $15), however I took a picture of the fuel gauge and it was exactly the same before and after. When calling to clear this up, Lance was extremely rude and combative and refused to work with me on my issues. Definitely avoid this place if you can.

While the general experience was alright, please make sure you tell your next customer about the $20 convenience fee, if you return equipment after hours. Not mentioning that alone, even after a conversation about after hours returns, is underhanded. Especially, when you do go over other upcharges, such as insurance.

Horrible. I reserved a reservation for a truck for today, and I got there and they told me they gave the truck away already. I asked why. They said because I wasn’t there at 9am and I told them that no one told me to be there at 9 and how come you guys didn’t call or anything letting me know that I was supposed to be there at 9 even though you never told me to be there at 9! Long story short, they have the truck away and I don’t have a truck to help move. Moral of the story, I guess be there at 9am to be sure you get your truck so they don’t give it away. Also, I hope you guys tell your customers when ti be at the place instead of not telling them and giving away their truck they reserved.
