We also got charged a $20 "after hours fee" that I've never gotten before renting a u-haul with no mention of it in person, despite the fact that I did specify I would need the truck for 12 hours. It is specified on the contract but it is in no way clear.Additionally, they snuck in 3 gallons of gas on my bill (another roughly $15), however I took a picture of the fuel gauge and it was exactly the same before and after. When calling to clear this up, Lance was extremely rude and combative and refused to work with me on my issues. Definitely avoid this place if you can.

While the general experience was alright, please make sure you tell your next customer about the $20 convenience fee, if you return equipment after hours. Not mentioning that alone, even after a conversation about after hours returns, is underhanded. Especially, when you do go over other upcharges, such as insurance.

Horrible. I reserved a reservation for a truck for today, and I got there and they told me they gave the truck away already. I asked why. They said because I wasn’t there at 9am and I told them that no one told me to be there at 9 and how come you guys didn’t call or anything letting me know that I was supposed to be there at 9 even though you never told me to be there at 9! Long story short, they have the truck away and I don’t have a truck to help move. Moral of the story, I guess be there at 9am to be sure you get your truck so they don’t give it away. Also, I hope you guys tell your customers when ti be at the place instead of not telling them and giving away their truck they reserved.

I have known Deanna in her role with Nelson Road Storage and the associated U-Haul franchise for several years, and today I happened by the other reviews here. The two fiercely negative reviews seem to be well explained by a customer's being informed that the rental was local, yet deciding that he would take the rented truck almost all the way across Colorado. He simply had not paid attention, and has decided to take his discomfiture out on Deanna rather than own up to his mistake. Deanna is honest, open, and professional. I liked how she managed the situation when someone decided to cook meth in a storage unit here, contaminating several adjacent units. She clearly informed adjacent renters of the situation, and patiently sat through my independently checking my unit for meth contamination. Today I rented a trailer for local transport, and she responded to my phone call asking that she not leave right on time because I was allllmost back with the trailer. She gracefully ran over her usual tour of duty in accommodating the request, saving me the trouble of making a separate visit in the morning. The doubled complaint by an unhappy customer describes an agent of the company that is entirely contrary to my experience with her. He should put on his big-boy pants and accept responsibility for his own misunderstanding.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. It started with the truck being parked down an unmarked side street and as it was before the office opened I had to knock on a window to find help. Luckily someone helped us get the truck. After driving the truck which said one way on the side to our destination Diana the manager informed me that it would either be $1k to drive the truck back myself due to the extra miles or $1k to return it to a local store. This was due to the truck being a regional one. However, after taking the truck to a local office I was informed it was not a regional truck and I should not be charged those insane fees for a $350 trip. This location lied to me and attempted to extort me. Moving is difficult and the staff here did not make it easier.

If you are able to use a different uhaul location in town I would suggest doing it. I rented a Uhaul for a $340 trip, and I messed one thing up on the reservation by saying it was a round trip. The manager here tried to threaten me and charge me $1050 more than the original reservation price in order to force me to drive the one way truck 300 miles back to her location. She said it was a “local truck” and that it was in rotation. A manager at another location informed me that it was not a regional truck and it also was NOT in rotation. Diana was extremely rude, tried to threaten me and overcharge me by $1050, and blatantly lied to me. Thankfully not all Uhaul employees are this unprofessional and someone else assisted me with the issue. Never ever use this location if you can help it unless you want to be bullied by Diana.
