I have had 3 units with red dot storage and paid on time for months. There was a break in at my location (Conway Arkansas). Because of that red dot storage put a lock on my unit. Next time I went to access my unit I was unable to use the code given. After calling multiple times I was told a supervisor would have to come out and change it because it was incorrect. Waited weeks and it never happened. I called multiple times and was not helped. So I decided I want to leave and go somewhere else because clearly the customer service is not good. I scheduled a move out- of course life happened and I had a death in my family and was unable to move out within the time frame- then had a vacation out of the country so I was charged for another month on all 3 units….understandably. I called and asked to atleast be compensated for the lack of access to one of the units since the break in and no one cared….once again……so I told them I would pay on the unit they had the most items and move out of it. I went to move out and didn’t have gate access even though this unit was FULLY PAID. I called and was told because my other two units weren’t paid I couldn’t go in the gate. Even though I signed 3 SEPARATE LEASES….I was denied access to a PAID UNIT!! Now, I was told I had to wait over 30 days to do any sort of collections with them. Basically I paid that unit for no reason at all. It was pointless. I have no idea how you can deny access to a unit that is fully paid but it is disgusting and unprofessional and extremely unacceptable!

It has not been 1 time since renting this unit that I could drive up enter my code to get into the premises and was able to get in It always says access denied. From day one I had to call to get a temporary code in order to get in. This place is horrible when it comes down to getting in without calling customer service.It’s a waste of your time going there outside business hours. 24/7 is a joke.I am highly disappointed with this service. I will be moving my property out asap which will be in the morning when customer service has reopened to get a temporary code once again in order to get in to retrieve my property.This has been wasted time money and energy going there today.

When I first obtained the two units that I had I would have gave five stars everything was just easy going want to done put us on the problem has persisted I've been broken into twice the cost of upwards of 7500 or so the process of trying to get compensated is not easy the people on the phone they are compassionate but have no cares about your stuff I always get the well that's not my problem I wish that I could leave a good review I hope this company seriously works on their customer service skills because I believe that it would be a great company once again put cameras around your facilities if you're going to fix it in and have codes then have cameras as well so when somebody gets robbed we can subpoena that stuff and be able to say hey those are the ones that robbed me butt hopefully I will be able to retain my money back for the losses of all my stuff and I still pay for my unit and I truly hope that they work diligently to better their environment I would recommend them but I would be very watchful and go to your unit often and I would put a security question into the phone number so anybody that tries to go in being you has to be able to answer the security question my advice

Site Security is terrible! The main security gate at the facility I rent from has been broken at least three times in the past year. It goes months before a repair is made. When calling Red Dot support I get the same answer "we are aware and are working on it". I would highly recommend not using Red Dot if what you are storing has any value.

I CANT STAND SOME PEOPLE !!!! I reported this to LRPD .. The STORAGE FACILITIES HEADQUARTERS..CHANNEL 7...ANIMAL SERVICES... & ANIMAL CRUELTY PAGE....48 HOURS LATER NOTHING OR NOBODY HAS SAVED THE SEVERAL DOGS LOCKED IN A STORAGE BLDG... RUMOR IS FOR 3 WKS NOW.... & THE PEOPLE WHO ARE""LIVING"" IN THESE UNITS (SQUATTERS)? YES.... LIVING IN THEM ... WONT DO NOTHING B/C THEY WILL HAVE TO LEAVE ???? OMG !!!! THESE POOR FREAKING DOGS !!!! I HEAR THEM BARKING & CRYING ? ITS SO SAD & NOBODY CARES !!!!! SOMEBODY HELP !!!! I was told by COOPERATE YESTERDAY morning it would be taken care of by NOON !!!! NOPE !!!!! THEY ARE STILL IN THERE WHINING & BARKING IN THE FREAKING DARK 24/7.... THE UNIT HAS TO HAVE THE RENTERS NAME BUT I THINK THE OWNER KNOWS !!!!! That OR HE DONT EVER CHECK HIS PROPERTY !!!! CHARGE EVERYONE THERE I SAY for NOT STEPPING IN FOR THESE DOGS !!!! MY GOD SOMEBODY HELP THEM !!!! RED DOT STORAGE ON CHICOT & VERNON ESTATES.... #50 ..... ENOUGH !!!!! Can I leave less than 1 star? I was a customer of Summit storage for years. Happily. When red dot storage bought it out, they said I was grandfathered in, and my rent would not go up. That was the first lie. It kept going up and up and up. They do not do snow removal. They are infeated with Spiders. They do not have a working security gate half the time. It was in an open position for almost 3 months, so anyone could get in. There have been numerous break-ins over the last year, and the state police are estimating at least 10-12. One of them was my friends' units. Red dots insurance denied the claim even with the police report and people being arrested and admitting to the theft. I left in the beginning of October and moved all of my items somewhere else. I let red dot storage know this. They continue to call me and send me threatening letters- they are going to auction off my empty unit. Oh no. There's nothing in it, as previously stated. They are running up a bill for an empty unit, and I just got an email that they are raising the rent on a unit. I no longer have another $18 a month again. I have called. Tried to chat, etc, to get this handled. They record their calls and should be able to listen to the call when I spoke to a representative on Nov 1st. She said all taken care of. You owe nothing. So I owe nothing. The harassment continues. I got a certified letter yesterday stating they are auctioning my empty unit. I am contacting my attorney for harassment and for adding this to my credit report. They continue to call almost daily and leave nasty messages. I will be proceeding with a harassment lawsuit and defamation of character for claiming I do not pay my bills on time. There are a lot of lawsuits against Red Dot storage going on across the country. They are not clean. They do not care about the issues that happen. They do not have onsite managers anymore. There is a person who comes to the site once a week for 2 hours. He is overworked running sites all over the tri state area. It is disgusting. They do not care about customer service and their headquarters is in Colorado, and their call center is foreign. You are lucky to get a person who can understand what you are trying to explain to them. Do not rent from them. 5 years I was safe in the same location. 5 years. Then they took over, and it all just kept going downhill from there.

This place is terrible! wrote a review a week ago because I was going thru my things and got a call from the last who callee my things junk and told me to get it cleaned up because they have building inspections and I told her I was sitting and going thru my things mind u I have 2 units and have had no problems until now with these people a week after submitting my reviews now I am locked out of the facility from both units in being forced to move out with a month to do so no money to do so and I have an hour to get my things from 2 units with adult supervision then they lied on there report and said I was living in my unit and there was trash everywhere funny thing is how is that possible ive been in Nashville for a funeral and we were sorting thru things daily because when i moved in i had limited time to do so I will b contacting a lawyer and I have about 6 or more people who were with me daily that will say the same u have cameras also that will prove it as well munud the one thats been broke and what about the peoole whose units got broken into the gate was cut and noone did anything and the guy told me that peoole break into units a lot sad as hell

Extremely rude staff including management. Owners are all to blame. Terrible business structure. Poor customer service. 15 year customer paying 25% + more than new customers. Went downhill after RedDot bought out the Mom & Pop facility. RedDot has rapid reoccurring increases monthly. Errors in their platform and emails constantly. I highly recommend thinking twice before you spend your money here, this company does not deserve what you work for.

I recently went online and rented a storage unit at the Red Dot Storage facility at 9651 St. Charles Rock Road St. Louis MO 63114. My first visit to the facility to put some things in the unit was Friday January 20, 2023. After difficulties gaining access to the unit, and 45 minutes on the phone, they moved me to a different unit and I was able to remove the lock and open it.When I left, the instructions were to put their lock into the "lock box" by the gate. When I dropped the lock into the "lock box", it opened up. I took a picture of the open "lock box" in case they tried to charge me for not returning the lock. In addition to these episodes, the gate that is supposed to have "controlled gate access" and ensure your belongings are "safe and secure" has never been closed since Friday January 20, 2023, and I am writing this review on Wednesday January 25, 2023. I have called numerous times, and am told "the pin pad is broken and will be repaired as soon as possible". Really ??? I have also sent emails asking that someone contact me and have had no response. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE GOING TO MY STORAGE UNIT. THERE ARE PEOPLE WANDERING AROUND IN THERE. Next time I need to go to my unit after dark I will contact the police and ask them to accompany me.

The neglected to main security. Gates and doors not secured. Did not notify customers of thefts occurring in units. My unit (indoor) supposedly secure was wiped out by vandals and Red Dot doesn’t seem to care.
