I love it here. The campground is beautiful and the name is like being in nature. This is my favorite place to camp

Don't visit this place unless you want the rangers to either put your life in danger or write you a ticket... I'm not kidding.During a visit to this trashy lake, two groups of people started brawling and one of them pulled a gun (all we could do was have our kids lie down because we were trapped by the lake). I recorded it and provided the video to the rangers, who after giving them tickets and NOT making them leave, told them that they would have to see me to get a copy of the video. I was then forced to interact with these brawling maniacs thanks to this Barney Fife agency.A couple years later, I get hit with a bad snow storm while pulling my RV and was forced to stay at Boyd. I tried to buy a reservation and parking pass online but the site was broken. The next morning (the same ranger who I gave the video to after the brawling incident) gave me a ticket.Colorado state rangers must get paid by tickets because they WILL find something to ticket you for. Be sure to budget an extra $100 if you decide to stay at this lake. It is not a nice lake.Horsetooth is just 10 minutes away, and so much prettier, nicer, and the Larimer county rangers are friendly. Go there instead.

Great place to go for a walk. Seen a suspicious looking cloud had to pull my phone out to capture it.

Restrooms: Closed for winter, but otherwise located in 2 locations in the park.Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash, and no dogs on the Beach area where people are, but wonderful pathways for the pups and lots to sniff!Picnic area: Multiple picnic tables and grills throughout the park, along with some individual shelters to shield you from sun and wind.

Send pictures of people catching fish here but I have never caught nothing out of Boyd. Had a good hit last night a little bit of ice on it but still open water used hooksetters and only one of them went off.

Park on 18th and Denver, then ride your bikes in on the sidewalk that cuts through the park there. Free entrance to Boyd lake for swimming. Boom

State patrols & camp host work together looking to ticket 4 ANY reason to increase revenues & salaries. We already pay a load of taxes to keep a park for our use but these folk r actively seeking to line more of their pockets. Shoddy impression of CO parks

They are expanding the camping area. No dolphins from what I can see.

Nice little campground. But, they closed the laundry room for the winter, even though it is in a brick building, along with the showers. Why? And they restricted the reservations to a very limited group of sites. Why? Why not let us spread out. It's not like they are doing anything to maintain the other sites.Playground: There are playgrounds scattered around park.Restrooms: The main restroom building near B loop, where the showers are, was open. The others were closed for the season (this in mid November).Dog-friendliness: Dogs allowed on leash.

I don't want to Kayak right next to someone's selfishly noisy Jet Ski! Go to Carter Lake or Horsetooth Reservoir for that inconsiderate stuff.

Nice isolated area in Loveland, CO. Clean bathrooms and $1 showers. Currently construction on Loop A , but B&C are ok. Electric hookups only, but onsite dumpstation.
