The staff is wonderful. The location (very close to a busy road) and lack of parking are the only reason I took off a star.

This is one of the best vets I've ever been too! Our mastiff was in need of immediate surgery (Pyo) and they were able to get her in right away. They did an amazing job and the staff was awesome across the board!!! I'll never go anywhere else!!! THANK YOU!!!

They treated our chinchilla for an ear infection and it worked wonders. They were kind, caring and super helpful in their treatment and the prices were fair. Wonderful vet.

We moved and adopted two green cheek conures this summer. We picked Aspen Family Pet Hospital (they're no longer called Aspenwing) because they're close to where we live and a friend of mine who has rabbits said they treated her well once when she had an emergency. We've seen Dr. Dracos twice in the last few weeks (once for an initial visit and once as a followup). She caught something in our one bird's bloodwork that the rescue's vet missed in March when the rescue had them in for their checkups. I appreciate how Dr. Dracos handles our birds and how she discusses things with us. So far, I'm very happy with our treatment by this clinic.

The office staff and techs seem caring and invested in the animals. The vet, on the other hand, is only interested in money and how much she can force her poor techs to up sell their patient's owners. I had brought in a very old Lionhair Rabbit expecting to be told that it was time to say goodbye. Dr. Chappel examines her and said that there was a hard mass and when she squeezed it urine along with blood and puss came out. She said my rabbit was dehydrated, which I figured because she hadn't eaten or drank in 2 days, not even with syringes. Dr Chappel said that she wanted to run a blood test and maybe get an X-ray, and walked out of the room. At this point my rabbit was still moving around and coming up to me acting like she was in pain but still alert. The tech came back in and showed me a bill for over $500. Going line but line to explain every charge. The office visit $69 Bloodwork $201 Hazardous waste fee $4 X-ray $129(?) X-ray $60+ Subcutaneous fluids $20 Medications $50 The bloodwork cost was very surprising. I figured that since I was not informed of bloodwork costs I would just have to suck that up. Then I was told they "NEEDED" two X-rays to create a 3D image from 2D pictures. I explained that I did not have the $500 and would need to hold off on the X-rays for a couple days but would bring her back to get those done. Then I asked about the subcutaneous fluids. She told me that they inject fluids under the skin since she wasn't drinking by herself. Made sense to me. Seemed legit. So the tech left and came back with another version of the bill with the X-rays off. The new bill was $355 and change. Then suggested some other things to add to my rabbits care. At this point I was tired of being "sold" to. I just wanted my rabbit to feel better or to be told she was suffering and it was time. So I explained that I only had $400 left and that would have to be it for now. So I signed the estimate and she took Larry back to the back. During the time my rabbit was gone, the tech came back in with a worried look on her face and a bag of food in her hand. She said that Dr Chappel wanted to recommend it and it was only $10, said there was a bigger bad that was $40. Knowing I only had $400 and was already at $355, they didn't bring in the $40 bag because taxes would have put me over the $400. So I said no, again, and as she left she put the bag of "necessary nutrient" food down next to me and walked out the door. I literally got the feeling that they are forced to push extra stuff on their patients. When she came back she had my bunny. Laid her down and said they wanted to wait a few minutes to observe her and make sure she was ok from the fluids. As I sat there and watched $19.50 of these fluids leak out and be soaked up by the towel she was laying on, I noticed she wasn't moving around nearly as much. She started burying her nose into the towel. The tech came back with the medicine. Two liquid meds with syringes...??? Remember Larry wouldn't take liquids for the last two days. So I was ushered to the checkout desk to pay for my visit with the thought that the medicine would go onboard and she would start to feel better. When I got her home I made a bed of blankets next to me and laid her down. Tried to give her the medicine. She laid her head down and every minute or so she would lift her head back then slowly let it fall back to the blanket. She did this all night. At about 5:30 she died. Suffering all night long. This place is not into what's best for your pet. They are about how much they can charge you before you say "enough". They will try to take every cent you have as you can see from their actions when I told them all I had was $400 left. Dr. Chappel made the tech come in and try to sell me anything and everything in that place to get me to the $400 I said I had. I would highly recommend finding another "exotic" veterinarian that doesn't prey on your emotions and try sucking you dry, for one that truly has your furbaby's b

When I was in on Friday she was running far behind. I didn't mind as they had made time to see me at the end of there busy day. I wasn't having a life or death emergency, but it was real important. They were all so apologetic for the wait but it was just fine.
