My mortgage loan was sold without the last payment I made at IF. They had 10 days before it was sold and a month since the payment was made (early) to fix the issue. Will not return my calls.

This “bank” if you can even call it that is the biggest joke. They’ll close and cancel your card and not even email you. They’ll cancel cards that haven’t even been activated.

We have been customers for years, back in Home State days. We have always been treated with respect and any issues have promptly addressed. We have personal and business accounts with the now Independent Financial. During last merger we had to change account numbers on one account- they worked through all the possible issues and transition was very smooth. The employees at this branch have been extremely friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. Berit the manager has a great attitude, knows banking very well and is always willing to help. If you have never gone through mergers - you’re lucky. It’s a huge transaction and it does take patience.

Our bank was bought out by independent. I am usually one to give things a chance. Well for the last month and half, I have had to call customer service every time I get paid and ask where is my paycheck. I called on Monday and was told it would be in there by Tuesday. Tomorrow will be Friday and it will be an entire week after my paycheck and still nothing! My husband and I live paycheck to paycheck. I am very frustrated at this point and when I get home I will be ending my services with you guys when I return home. I shouldn't have to call and ask every time I get paid. This is unacceptable.

Terrible service. My son had his debit card expire when the bank made a change. They did not notify him. When he ased for a replacement they took three weeks and never attempted to expidite. They did not care. Any bank that does not foces on the customer will lose their customers. They lost one today.

Branch manager and employees have all misled me on multiple occasions. Branch manager would not call me when she said she would. They did not send me a new debit card after a merger and shut off the one I had been using. After calling to get another card sent on three separate occasions and visiting the branch twice I still don't have a card and have been lied to about who what where when and why. I have emails confirming my correspondence and all along the way I have been made to feel like it's my fault. I was also intimidated by the branch manager on my second visit. She stood behind me in a very intimidating manor and watched me while I waited in line to get helped. The entire time she could have helped me directly. Very un professional and down right threatening. No one should bank here!!!

Called to find out when a notary public would be available during the week. After long wait and a couple of connections with annoying recordings saying how much they value their customers, I connected with someone, who said she would check and then she disconnected the line. Tried again, going through same multiple connections and recordings to finally get Rachel, and told Rachel the previous call had been disconnected and despite me telling her this, she did the same thing, putting me on hold which disconnected. Tried again, and after multiple connections with multiple recordings, Sheila answered. She said that she didn't know when the notary public would be scheduled to be in the office, so to call right before coming in. She said she knew their system was having a problem hanging up when put on hold also. How frustrating. I am trying to set up a time to bring in another person, but I won't be able to plan on when this can be done. Took 15 minutes to get no answer.

Been a trusted customer since 2010, I'm now deciding to close my account because it has again, been baught out by independent bank.. this whole process is absolutely terrible.. it went from Home State Bank, to Guarantee Bank, and now Independent Bank.. but the process is terrible and very difficult

VERY dissatisfied with my visit. I was misinformed and unable to get a temp. check because apparently having my I.D. wasn't good enough (since I went through the drive through, since the lobby was closed). I have banked with Home State Bank since 2006 and have never had this poor of experience... I am glad I live in Fort Collins, the branches here have been nothing but great, wish I could say the same about Loveland's Eisenhower location. The lady gives me my routing number and account number, but, what good is that without a check? I have a bill that's due and it won't be paid in time to get my order thanks to my bank not trusting me. Thanks.
