we have shopped here for years as we live a block away and we realized almost all the coolers in the store are 10°-15° degrees above where they should be meaning almost all the food in the store that is refrigerated is gaining bacteria. Not safe and should be shut down till the coolers are replaced.

By offering conventional food cheaper than organic, they’re making the customer pay extra not to be poisoned. They throw away half the food and will call the police if you’re in the trash. If you’re an employee they’ll fire you. Then the billion dollar company asks YOU to help end hunger at the register even tho they just doubled prices for corporate profits alone. The irony is literally painful. Good thing land is so unattainable or people would just grow their own food.

It's Christmas morning and I left the house without my purse, my mom called and asked me to pick up some biscuits. I spoke to the manager Zack who told me he could take zell but didn't have Venmo. Then he took his own $10 and gave it for me to use to buy the biscuits. I just want to say thank you and what a great start to Christmas morning. I highly recommend this Safeway! Thank you Zack Merry Christmas!

I was short by $15 and I wasn't going to be able to get all the groceries I was buying and I had asked the cashier for help to take acouple items off of my total and he had offered to pay what I couldn't cover he even helped me split payments so I wouldn't over draft on my card. He was also so nice about it to. Such a amazing person and employee Thank you so much it really helped!!!

supposed to be open until 11pm. I got there at 1050pm to grab bacon and the doors were locked. I tried knocking but no one came. If you're not going to be open until 11pm then don't say you're open until 11pm

Cashier was rude, I get it gets busy, I understand the plastic bags are going away. I forgot my 50 reusable ones at home and today I didn’t feel like carrying the items in one by one or bagging them in the bags at home to lug them up the stairs. And my cashier Nick was quite prickly about it. I understand it I do, I myself work in customer service and it’s not for the weak, people are rude. However, when one starts off a customer interaction by being rude to them, that is all you are going to be dealing with, rude people. Can’t pick up groceries anymore without someone being a jerk and from the STAFF to boot. Just use self checkout or go to the one down the street.

Digital coupons you can only get certain amount of items in one ad week, not just that shopping trip. Ex: $.97 half gallon of milk you can get limit of 4 that entire sale week but can't split between 2 different days so if you want 4 total that week have to get in one purchase not one on Monday and 2 on Wednesday and 1 on Friday. To total 4 at end of sales week. Just too confusing. Just have a coupon or don't.

Safeway is sane-way. Their app works, moving through the store works!!! This is my new grocery store! They've made many improvements in recent years and I'm so glad I gave it another try. The food is fresh, stocked throughout in an organized way, and the produce is a treat for the eyes. The atmosphere is calm and not rushed because they no longer have portable product shelves cluttering up the aisles. All of this serves to make my shopping chore pleasant. Several customers can move down aisles without bumping into each other because of floor displays - that is soooo nice. The employees are knowledgeable too - it's easy to know where things are in a clean, tidy store. Parking spaces are not used up in spring and summer by gardening displays. Oh, and the pharmacy is gray too. They haven't outsourced yet like King Soopers and Walgreens, and hope they don't. This Safeway store has turned away from the mania created for customers in the competitors stores. Thank you Safeway for making the choice so clear!

This review is actually related to the store at 1451 W Eisenhower (Yelp doesn't list this one), but it stands for all Safeways because they use the same coupon system. I've visited this Safeway almost daily due to the convenience of the location for over a year now. That ends today. Their digital coupon system rarely works correctly, and if you don't have your phone on you to scan the digital coupon you have to ask the cashier to enter it for you. Some of them act like you're a criminal asking for a pardon! One lady just huffed and puffed at me like I was such an inconvenience. Today I did have my phone, scanned the coupon, it didn't work when I checked out so I was overcharged, told the cashier, she said go to customer service and wait, which I did for about 10 minutes, lady came and kid you not she said to me "well I can't give you a discount without proof" because she couldn't find it in the paper. Well, since this isn't my first rodeo with them I had taken a picture of the coupon, another annoying thing I have to do every time. Tried to show it to her but my phone died! So, she made me take her all the way to the aisle to show her the @#$%^$ coupon, that was literally only for a $1 off. I would normally just leave and not be bothered by a coupon worth $1 but it happens every single time I go in. I'm done. Taking my business elsewhere.
