The employees are nice but the post office itself is terrible. They are understaffed, and don't even have carrier service for the town of Lyons, let alone surrounding areas. What's worse is that they pretend their hours are 730-430, and then put up a paper sign that the desk is closed from 1130 to 1 for lunch without changing the posted hours. It's disingenuous, and you wonder if the postmaster knows.

Needs improvement. They won’t do home delivery in town. Mail is frequently misdelivered. Hours are so limited that it’s difficult to pick up packages with a full time job. Packages are not reliably made available when specified by usps informed delivery.

Worst post office in Colorado. The women I got served by were the rudest person in the world. Customer service is the worst. Workers who worked here just give useless information in a rude way that in no way helps at all. The worker always brought up how she did training. I don’t want to be rude but please send her to training again. I asked the same question a million times but instead of an answer, I was met with rude bickering about things not related AT ALL about my question. Do not recommend for anyone.

Worst customer service ever. Worst post office experience. The two women working there were clearly on a power trip. They were rude and short. We tried to mail our passport renewals and were told we would have to wait to talk to Marisa who does passports- it was just a priority package! They yelled at people getting passports several times to get out of line even though it was unclear where we were supposed to be. Just rude. The other family waiting for passports asked if their 4 year old could use the bathroom because she was about to have an accident- they were told no they could go elsewhere very rudely before finally acquiescing. Avoid if you can.

Supervisor is absolutely useless. We scheduled a passport appt weeks ago and upon arrival was told it was cancelled. No call or email notification. She claims they have been low on staff for months, I can see why with her attitude, and that they can’t do passports. What’s the point in scheduling if they weren’t able to do it in the first place.

Why even have a phone number if you never answer it?? The 800# is just an endless menu of choices that get you nowhere - but at least the call gets picked up. They can't even be bothered here. Thanks for being useless and wasting my time!

The 2 women who work here are megalomaniacs. They get a buzz off of telling people no. I was in there yesterday to send several packages for my business. I've sent literally thousands of packages, over the past few years, but for some reason today they wouldn't take mine. They said they were too full.... they are all flat rate...awful customer service.

The 7:30am to 4:30pm hours are really difficult. I'm constantly getting to work late or leaving work extra early in order to get my packages. I wish they'd install more of the package receiving boxes with keys so they didn't have to process so many yellow slips on a daily basis. Or that they'd give more of us mailbox service instead of having to rent PO boxes. Or adjust the hours earlier and/or later.
