We showed up real close to closing and the young man was so helpful and didn't rush us to make a decision so he could leave. He printed what we needed and was extremely pleasent!

The Manitou Outpost is a Gift shop in Manitou Springs, Colorado!! This historic shop in downtown Manitou Springs is sure to catch your eye. From delicious ice cream and fresh homemade fudge to contemporary Native American jewelry and souvenirs. Looking for something to remember your vacation to Manitou Springs? The Manitou Outpost has hundreds of gift options. They have T-shirts of all sizes, collectible souvenirs, hats, pocketknives, and even postcards. There is an accessible restroom in the very back of the store, but be sure to ask the staff for permission. It's only etiquette to do so. I purchased a very nice summer poncho with long sleeves that is made out of the softest material!! The colors are black with a few stripes in the sleeves. It was one size fits most. The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and aren't dismissive, respectively. They're here to answer all your questions. They have Locally sourced ice cream, Homemade fudge and Something for everyone. Looking to read on some history about Manitou Outpost? The origins of the Outpost date back to the 1800s where a stock stable was operated. Unfortunately, the building burned down but the Navajo Geyser Pavilion Cafeteria soon rose from the ashes in 1913. Despite the restaurant being successful, the Hiawatha Tours and Navajo Garage would soon take over the building. The Barker Manufacturing Company would be the next business to move in. The company was known for its work with leather as well as selling western style clothing. Finally, in 2003 the Barker Manufacturing Company would be molded into the Outpost as it is today.

Not a big fan of this store. It is run by the Gardens of the God Trading post.. so everything that was at the Garden of Gods trading post was also at this store.. in my opinion it’s just not needed to have 2 stores that are the same within the same area. Also the prices were WAYYY to high.. a simple T-shirt was $30+.. there are other several souvenir shops around this store so I suggest visiting them first! Flying Eagle was really good and priced and so was the 6412 feet store!

Worst ice cream! Freezer burnt and bad flavor. Got charged for two scoops but I was definitely given the same amount as my moon who got a single. Claire S was short, rude and slammed the cabinets during our service. I will not be returning to this location for ice cream or any other service.
