Great store in Manitou springs. Very convenient for grocery items, so you don't have to leave Manitou! Staff is always friendly and kind!

Tubby’s sells things visitors to Manitou Springs actually need! Quite a rare thing amongst all the fudge and t-shirts. My friends and I dug the funky, vintage vibe, the clerk was friendly, and we were able to pick up some forgotten sundry items without driving all the way back to the grocery store.

As the woman at the counter was waxing judgmentally about how everyone needs to live their lives i couldn't find prices for the items i wanted so I felt it apropos to confront her on the fact that she refuses to price many items in her store. Stores do this to shame people into just buying without asking what the incredibly high prices are. She told me she just couldn't price everything. I said that's a lie. If they have time to instruct people on what Jesus wants for them AND time to take my money - they have time to put a price on the stuff they sell for way too much money. She was saying "spare the rod spoil the child" sounding like a spoiled child when I had to pipe in and make sure I didn't spare the rod.

Tubby’s Turn Around is incredibly convenient for everyone who lives here in Manitou. I love that it’s a family run business. I’ve never witnessed staff being rude without reason. They do enforce the policies of the store. No they won’t let you use the restroom or bring your pet inside. Yes they have a $5 minimum for using a card.

$5 minimum on cards? Come on you’re basically a convenience store. All I wanted was a soda. That’s ridiculous. And no one is wearing masks even though the city is under a mask mandate.

As a local to Manitou, I go to Tubby's fairly often and have always enjoyed chatting with the staff there. There was a new hire there today who, for no reason, was incredibly rude. Each friendly and/or wanting to be helpful comment I made was met with, "I'll keep doing it my way" with a air of indifference and a condescending snort. It's like she was having an awful day and taking it out on any customer she could. She's apparently only been there for 3 weeks, but I think that might be already too long. She clearly hates customer service. When I asked how much a bag of cheetos was, she slapped the bag over with spiteful annoyance and jabbed at the price printed on the bag. Again, I was trying to be friendly, so this was an abrupt contrast to my attitude. She kept laughing, like insanely laughing. It honestly freaked me out, so I did not purchase anything today and will be avoiding Tubby's from now on. I have been in customer service for over 15 years myself, so I take most experiences with a grain of salt. She was so inhospitable, I thought to let the owners know my experience here. I am also employed on the strip in Manitou, so I will certainly not be recommending any tourists or anyone else for that matter to wander that way while this cantankerous woman is employed here.

The cashier had an attitude and said we're standing on the wrong side to pay for items.
