Backcountry Outpost is here to make sure you have the gear you need for your backcountry adventure. From hiking gear, trail maps, camping equipment, locally patterned fly fishing flies, fall hunting or just an afternoon spent on one of the local lakes, we can make sure you are ready to go. We also offer a wide selection of apparel and gifts, most of which are locally sourced from fellow Colorado small businesses. Situated in the heart of Colorado’s White River Valley, Meeker is the home to some of the best camping, fishing, hiking, biking and hunting in the area.

Always very helpful and have the best customer service. They are also very involved with the youth and outdoor activities providing education and services as well as gear when needed to out youth. Cannot say enough good things about this couple and their business, we are luck to have them.
