Clean and friendly service .. they have almost anything you need on if u forgot it before you go skiing or hiking . Cash is easiest unless you are spending over 5.00 dollars on a card . Small cabins for the night . Unless you have an RV . They do offer ? showers , coin operated.

The aggressive signs made me feel guilty for being there even though I was a PAYING CUSTOMER.

This is a basic park, not fancy but comfortable with very pleasant people running the show. Other pluses include an excellent park store and a very large and clean shower stall./restroom But the real winner here is the setting. It is what elevates this park to five stars. Climb the hill to the fire station and be amazed. And, be sure to drive Hwy 65 either to or from Grand Junction. It is awesome.

This is one of the most friendly and comfortable parks I’ve ever stayed at in my over 30 years of RVing! It’s not fancy, but it’s most certainly comfortable and welcoming. The owner, “Shane” has got to be one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and he made my wife and I feel more like we were staying with good friends rather than merely being guests at an RV park.Shane helped us to accommodate our extra vehicle and the small utility trailer it was towing in such a way that the trailer was convenient to us yet was not in anyone else’s way. When I had difficulty figuring out how to turn on the water at our site, he was right there solving the problem in a couple of minutes.Though the park seems to have quite a number of long term residents, it is homey, comfortable and quiet. Everyone seems to be very nice and friendly. The park features a pretty complete convenience store that was open from around 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM most days except Sunday when its hours were something like 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. The store features fresh, made to order pizza that’s very good at a very reasonable price. Many locals, including our son who we were visiting, stop by the store to get lunch and other supplies as the store is about the best stocked grocery store within miles. It has all of the usual convenience store stuff including 10 lb. bags of ice, milk, eggs, ice cream treats, and much more. The restroom / shower is modern, always very clean, properly stocked, well lit and open 24 hours with a push button combination lock for access during the hours when the store is closed. The sites are adequately spacious though not large, but our 30 ft. trailer, pickup and auxiliary SUV were easily accommodated at our site without being in anyone else’s way.Staying there in June as we did, it can get a bit hot during the day. Our site had a very nice tree that shaded the curbside of the trailer most of the afternoon, and the nights usually cooled off enough that it was unnecessary to run the AC at night. Also, a 15 minute drive up Colo. highway 65 will put you in alpine forests, loaded with tall Douglas Fir and aspen trees, wild flowers, dozens of crystal clear lakes with plenty of great fishing and with a temperature as much as 20 degrees cooler than at the park.Getting to the park from I-70 requires a winding 12 mile trip on Colo. 65 “up the canyon” on a well paved, well maintained road. While it is somewhat of a climb, the ascent is mostly pretty gradual with only a couple of quite short but reasonable grades. And it’s a positively beautiful drive. You may want to make sure you have your dash cam rolling just to record the wonderful scenery.Barely a mile away on highway 65 is an excellent “down home” restaurant, “The Wagon Wheel”, or simply “The Wheel” as it’s locally known. Outstanding American food with very generous portions, including simply great breakfasts starting at 8:00 AM. Like the park it’s homey, very comfortable, clean and the service is excellent. Don’t miss it!Overall, I strongly recommend Mesa RV Park. We spent nearly 3 weeks there visiting our son who lives about a mile away. About the only “down side” was that the park’s WiFi signal is very weak and we were unable to use it. But since we have our own hub with unlimited service, this was barely a minor inconvenience as the cell phone service at the park is strong and dependable.

My husband and I stayed here after a botched plan to stay somewhere else for our Honeymoon. Upon arrival we were treated like family! Rhonda is amazing and her infectious laugh and bubbly personality immediately puts you at ease and makes the day seem a little brighter. Every interaction with staff and ownership was kind an welcoming. We had our pups with us and found that not only were we welcomed, the staff was sweet and made sure to love on our fur babies.. The cabins are adorable and offer a beautiful view of the mesa and a warm and comfy place to rest. The restrooms and showers are a short walk, attached to the general store where you can find most camping/picnic essentials and even offer some yummy pizza! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Owner and staff went out of their way to accommodate and make us feel at home. Spotless facilities, comfortable mattress, great coffee, and beautiful location. Great base camp for the weekend, would be thrilled to stay again some day!

Great location to explore the Grand Mesa park. I stayed in a cabin which provided great value, but few amenities. There is no fridge or microwave, so come prepared. Toilets are a short walk away and showers are $2 for 10min, so bring singles and also a towel as those are not provided. The store is very well stocked and gas is available as well. Overall a good value if you can plan well, the staff is nice. Don't forget to bring a water storage container to save yourself many trips to and from the main building.

This is a small park. There are only a couple of spots reservable because there are mostly full time occupants. The parking areas are not great but it worked out for one night. There are full hook-ups.The cost was $51 and change. The on site store is stocked with essentials. They have a pizza available that was decent.15 minutes from I70 up the canyon.

We stayed in a 40 Ft class A.Water pressure good, electrical good, sewer good.Management seemed very nice, and willing to help us.Very nice little store at office. They really only had 4 spots that would fit us. Two were so narrow, we couldn't open our slides. (See photos) None of the 4 were level enough to level our rig with 4 inch block, so we moved to a back in site.Wifi was weak. Cell service for Verizon was ok. Sprint was good for first 4 days, then disappeared, absolutely gone, even with weboost. No local TV.Real drawbacks: No grass anywhere to speak of. More stickers than anything else. All the vegetation is crunchy, seriously needed watering. Zero place to walk dogs. (Also, some of the other patrons don't bother to keep their dogs on a leash.)

Large RV spaces, kind staff, very clean restrooms and shower. A general store with food and drinks. Propane and gasoline fill stations. Close to Grand Mesa for a nice drive, hiking, etc. Everything you need is here and only 30 min. drive to Grand Junction. Would recommend and would stay here again.
