Rude. The soonest appointment I could get for a sick dog was three weeks out. Apparently on Saturday afternoon before the Monday morning appointment, they texted me asking to contact them "if I was UNABLE to make the appointment." I was out of state and out of service. I get the text when I get back into cell service. I had full intentions to make the appointment as I had a sick dog and needed it, hence why I made an appointment in the first place. So I showed up after taking time off from work and rearranging schedules to find out they canceled on me. They never said I have to confirm or they would cancel. They never stated a policy saying I had to do a check in at any particular time. They literally just canceled me. Didn't even text to tell me they would cancel. What the h@ll kind of business does that? Not a business I plan to return to. And now I still have a sick dog. Terrible customer service, and no concern for animals. When I expressed my displeasure at the desk, the person was rude, saying well "that's our policy" and then in the most wonderfully condescending tone said "have a nice day." Veterinary services cost a lot of money. It takes a lot of time waiting to get an appointment. People are trying to get help for their sick furry family members. These people seem to have no empathy. No thanks. I'll find business elsewhere.

We had an emergency and they were able to get us right in and take care of our dog. This was on a Friday and they told us a doctor would available on Saturday if needed. Saturday morning my dogs eye looked pretty bad so I called and they asked me to text a picture. They reassured me that the eye was healing. We went back in on Monday to have it looked at again. Dr. Green checked our dog and again reassured us that the eye was doing well. Everyone was so kind and we appreciate the care that we received.

I wish I could give them 10 Stars! Dr. Franklin gave me excellent advice and told me if I wanted him to come in after hours he would, but it wasn't necessary based on the symptoms and time elapsed. He suggested to follow up in the morning. Right before the office opened his staff called to get me in that day. Upon examination he found that my cat had a tumor, but she was going to be OK. I was concerned about poisoning, but based on the bloodwork she had not ingested as much as I thought. He seems to be conservative with his treatment, and I really appreciate that. He has a great attitude, and everyone at the front was very nice. I am happy to have found a great vet and feel very confident with his treatment. I have a checkup for my girl scheduled in a month.

We were on vacation from Arizona and our Pooch Emily became ill with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. We were leaving Ouray Colorado the next day. Dr Franklin saw her and gave us the option of hospitalization for the day or treating ourselves at home. He felt she would get better either way. Due to our schedule and wanting our girl ready for our next adventure. We opted for hospital treatment. They informed us of her progress during the day and we picked her up around 5. She was a new girl. The next day we received a call from Dr Franklin checking on our Emily. We couldnt have received better care anywhere. Thank you

I have a male 8lb Maltese that needed heart worm medicine and kennel cough med because it was time for his meds. We are traveling for several months in our RV. I called and we were able to get in the same day. The minute we walked in the 2 women behind the counter greeted us with the biggest smiles and even offered me water or a few other types of beverages. The staff also in the back were super just like the 2 out front. Dr. Cotten was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with us. I recommend them for your pets.

Awesome and very friendly staff. Had my dog suffer a complication with his spine and thought he wasn't going to be able to walk again but the staff did their magic and got him up and running like new again. I've had the chance to go in the back and see how they operate and they run a very clean space treating all kinds of animals with lots of love. Best Vet around!

The staff and the doctors have always been very helpful in treating our cats. They take plenty of time to answer all the questions we have and give us various options for treatment when appropriate. I would recommend them without any hesitation!

My dog stepped on the edge of my skis and cut her leg. I knew it needed stitches. $54 for the visit and $75 for the stitches. The majority of the other $254 was for drugs. I try to minimize the drugs, understand the cost for an antibiotic. I asked it we could do with less drugs and they said no. He cost of vets are now right along with the broken our broken health care system.

We were on vacation and brought our 20 month old pup Jax in because he had not eaten in a week and was drinking very little water. I chose this clinic because of the outstanding yelp reviews and I am pleased to say that we had the same 5 star service most of the other reviewers had. We walked in without an appt and were greeted pleasantly by the ladies at the front desk , within 10 minutes we were in an exam room with Maggie and in another 10 minutes Dr Franklin was examining Jax and recommending treatment. We felt the price for the visit , blood work, X-rays, and meds was very fair and they even sent us home with some dog food to get us through the next 4-5 days. Thank you Dr Franklin, Maggie and Dixie for the great service and care We and Jax received.

I wish I could give these guys 10 stars!!! Today my family and I were in the area on top of Imogene Pass. My sweet little Border Collie was attacked by a large dog while he was drinking water. We hurried off the mountain into Ouray. We started frantically calling Vet Clinics in the area. It was 4:30p.m when we called San Juan Veterinary Clinic. The lady that answered the phone was so kind and told us we could come in. Upon walking through the doors we were greeted by two women at the front desk, and three women who were dressed like nurses. My puppy was in a lot of stress and crying loudly. I wasn't sure if he could walk because he was crying and not wanting to move. They already had a gurney ready, they were very gentle with him, and they took him back immediately. Dr. VanDerwalker came out and spoke to me immediately. He thoroughly explained to me what I could expect. His love for animals is obvious. He really took his time with us. We felt cared for the entire time. This Veterinary Clinic is so clean, and I am more than grateful to have found this Gem in such short notice. My dog tonight is relaxed and already showing signs of his playful, and happy spirit. Lastly, their prices are fair. They're not outrageous and are defiantly less than my vet in Golden CO. I am shocked by how reasonable the cost was. I was expecting a much larger bill. Thank you everyone so much, The entire staff here took such great care of us and helped to make a stressful situation positive.
