I will definitely be using R&J from here on out. After buying a used car where the seller lied about the condition, I took it there for a rebuild of the timing components. They walked me through everything that needed to be done, sent pictures of the bad parts when I couldn't be there, and even flushed it to remove any debris. The mechanic had complete knowledge of the system and the attention to detail was remarkable (much appreciated because I'm a perfectionist too). Prices were more than reasonable for all the work that they did as well.If you have had bad experiences with shops in the past, I recommend taking your car there. You will once again believe that trustworthy shops still exist.

Brought in a Tacoma with a likely driveline vibration, as well as brakes and some minor maintenance items. Nick was able to get everything done, and after a thorough effort was able to diagnose and fix several issues causing my vibration. He would not quit till he found them all. Great work, truck drives like new after his work. Small shop, may not be the fastest but love the attention to detail. Cost was quite competitive, very satisfied.

Drove my badly bleeding coolant Vibe to the shop. On arriving I found the problem to a worn out hose to the heater core. They had a short heater hose delivered. And did the repair in about 30 minutes. And they didn't charge me. Wow!!!! In the future I will send all my auto repairs to them. Thanks guysService: General repairs & maintenance

I had them repair my 2013 Subaru that was suffering from bad rear wheel bearings that were making too much noise. I bought the bearings and planned to replace them myself and after a few hours and several youtube videos later I called Erin at R&J. Their service, commination and quick service was outstanding. Not only would I recommend them I will continue the bring my cars here for both maintenance and repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Nick is the king. Very reasonable rates, and a passion for what he does. This business is incredibly worth your time if you live in or around Montrose.

They say that the first impression is the last impression...well, my first impression is these guys are not on the ball and have zero interest in your business. I have a car that's having issues, and I am disabled, so I was looking for a place to check out my car with the help of my mother, who lives 6 hours away and was checking on places near me through the internet and Yelp. She finds R&J on yelp and inquires about availability and pricing, and gets some short responses about hourly rate and availability. On Wednesday, October 5th, I attempted to call this business in hope of talki g to someone because I wanted to make an appointment and let them know what I belive the problem is...no answer, left message. Didn't hear anything back by Friday, so I call, no answer, leave another message, this time explaining that my mother had been talking to someone through Yelp, and giving a brief description of the problem with my car, and explaining that I am disabled and would very much like to set an appointment as opposed to simply running down and bringing it in. Don't hear anything all weekend...then Monday morning, I get a call from them, it's apparently the wife and office girl, who begins by telling me she doesn't know anything about any emails or conversations with my mom. Well, I reply that someone had been talking to my mom through email and had given her the information. This woman startes arguing that she doesn't know who that would be sending emails to my mom, they'd been out of the office for a medical emergency, that it was only her and her husband, and he would email anybody. Um...well...I have the emails forwarded to me from my mother as they were coming in, so SOMEONE was emailing and giving info, and if it wasn't her, guess it must be her husband... So, after a few minutes of this ridiculous exchange, we get into actually talking about my car...she then tells me that it's going to be a while before he can look at it because he has two bays that are filled, one with an engine job, the other with a transmission job, tells me its going to be at least two weeks before he can.do a diagnostic to see all the might be wrong... She then tells me that she needs to check with her husband to get his idea, tells me she'll call me right back. It's now been a week since that phone call, have not heard a word from these folks, and now feel it's pretty evident that they have no desire to get our business, and probably no desire to get yours either. The guy may be a master mechanic, but their customer service is plain crap...if it's that much of a headache trying to get someone in the phone, imagine trying to talk to these folks while they're working on your car... Would much rather spend a little more at a bigger shop, than to have to deal with customer service like this place has... Incidentally, found a shop that accommodated me, gave me an appointment, and will do an intilial diagnosis at a much cheaper rate than R&J, and is actually eager to garner new business...

Nick and his team are some of the best mechanics I’ve ever worked with. They are some of the only mechanics I trust to work on my vehicles. They are honest, provide great work, and actually care about their customers. Will be coming back again and again for any vehicle needs.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

I made an appointment for an oil change. From the first phone call to picking up the car, Nick was professional and courteous, and his work was great. In addition to the oil change, he reviewed other maintenance items based on the car’s mileage, and even took care of an extra maintenance issue that he noticed.I intend to bring my car back for future maintenance and repairs.Service: Oil change
