Great Sand Dunes Oasis is an RV park and camp store located just outside the Great Sand Dunes National Park, only a couple miles from the dunes. Its primary advantage is its unbeatable location, with incredible views of the sand dunes and fields full of flowers. The RV park offers around 20 full-hookup sites, though they are a bit close together and small. The shower house is very clean, spacious, adequate, and secured by a security code. There is a camp store and a restaurant on the property, which is a short walk down the hill. The store sells essentials and rents very good quality sand dune surfboards and sleds, with staff who are friendly, informative, and excellent at clearly explaining how to use the equipment. The restaurant has decent food but limited hours. The property also has gas pumps, a playground with a small play cabin and swings, and cabins for rent. A note for visitors: the area has stickers called 'goat heads,' so checking shoes is advised, and it is a dark sky area, though bright lights from campers can affect stargazing. It is considered a very safe, nice place, especially popular with families.
Most convenient & reasonably priced RV campground to visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Hiking the dunes is exhausting no matter how fit you are, but sledding down them made the hike worth it — even after wiping out & returning with a pound of sand on my skin & in my clothes.

Great campground spot facing the great dunes. $33 dollars a night for a tent spot, also available lodges/cabins and pods, and rv spots. Lots of flies get spray. Convenience store available and restaurant, timber for sale and sleds for rent. Showers available for all guests (super nice for campers).
