If you are headed to the Great Sand Dunes National Park or just want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this place is perfect for the no-nonsense (up close with nature) traveler. Be sure to double check the local weather and dress (or pack extra blankets) accordingly. Take advantage of the s'mores and breakfast burritos if you have time and are up early enough.

My four kids, my husband, and I had an amazing stay! My husband met us here from camping all week and was welcomed with a warm, spacious shower that included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash & towels. Then we cooked our food at one of the many fire pits they had and ended the night sitting by the fire we didn’t have to manage and enjoyed complimentary s’mores. The stars were AMAZING. Like nothing I had ever seen before! We saw shooting stars and the Milky Way. The next day, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast burritos (3 different kinds) and coffee. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Then went to the alligator farm which was so fun and only about 7 minutes away. We came back for lunch and the kids played volleyball and in the sand pit with the sand toys. Then we left for the sand dunes that were about 15 minutes away. When we came back, we all showered and enjoyed a nice dinner together and more s’mores. The tents were WAY more spacious than I thought. We had two beds, a couch that converted into a bed, and a rollaway cot. There were many extra blankets and pillows and towels. We also had two large comfortable chairs, a small table, and two side tables. They gave us two lanterns and two power chargers that lasted us both days and charged all our devices and phones to 100%. We also had a fire place INSIDE the tents that kept us super warm throughout the night and they replenished our wood each morning. The kids had so much fun running around and my husband and I had such a relaxing weekend. This was such an amazing camping getaway experience -something like never before! I can’t recommend enough and cannot wait until next time. Thanks, Annette! ❤️

What an amazing place to stay! We loved our camping experience at Rustic Rook and the proximity to the National Park. It was exactly the outdoor experience we wanted but with so many comforts of a hotel. 10/10 recommend!

Place was gorgeous and views were beautiful.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Wish we had stayed an additional night as we didn't get to use all of the amenities on site.
Great for a trip to Zapata Falls, and the Sand Dunes national park. I'd love to return :)
Sure there were moths and a few spiders in the tent, but after arriving and killing a few of the moths, it was cozy as could be... it *is* camping after all.
Thanks for the unforgettable evening and memories we shared during our stay.

Absolutely one of the most unique places we have ever stayed. The Grain Bin was very comfortable and clean, with unparalleled views. We saw amazing stars, even though the night was cloudy. The sunrise was captivating. I would love to have one of these as a guest house!

I am not sure if i would call this a resort, but it is very comfortable and quite a few amenities The camp sites are very large and the tents are very nice. The showers are clean. The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed sitting on the front porch of my tent in the evenings.
Really my only complaint is the grills. The grills they have are pretty jank and only get hot on the front portion of the grill. I cooked 2 meals here with the grills and its not really possible to cook with the full surface area on all of the grills.
If i opted to stay here again, i would bring my own grill. I recommend if you stay here bring your own grill or camp stove if you intend to cook.
I also recommend to bring your own towels especially if you are a larger person. The towels are very small and don't dry very well.
I gave this resort a 4 star because we had very minimal issues and really that just boils down individual expectations.
Overall this place is fun and has a lot to offer.

The Rustic Rook was the perfect place to stay after a day exploring the Great Sand Dunes. It was clean, cozy, and very fun! The staff are really lovely and responsive to requests. Don’t be surprised to see critters and wildlife, it’s part of the glamping experience.

You can't beat the location! The skies were unparalleled at dark and the proximity to Great Sand Dunes National Park was terrific. The service and hospitality was also amazing. Very warm, caring, and thoughtful. The smores in the evening and breakfast burritos in the morning all were delicious. I've been recommending a stay to friends, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in getting out and getting away while in the area.

The grounds were amazing. Wood burning stove inside the tents worked amazing and gave the overall experience a step back in time yet still with many of the amenities of today. If you want an experience that is unlike the traditional hotel/motel this is the way to go. In close proximity to the Sand Dunes National Park. The staff were amazing as well. Will be on the list to goto again.

Delightful glamping experience. Our tent was great...nice to have a bathroom and hot shower...grill for cooking...and the s'mores are a real treat. We met a lot of interesting people around the campfire.

This was amazing! We stayed in one of the bins and it was the most unique places we've visited. It was so cozy and comfy. The views were amazing, the bed was huge and comfy, the bathroom was spacious, the kitchen area perfect. Our 2 dogs had a blast and there was plenty of room for them and the 2 adults they brought 😃We rented a board and sled to play on the sand dunes and the breakfast burrito options were delicious. We checked out Zapata falls on our way home. 10/10 so cool!
