Had the same issue with this man as others have pointed out. He has not only mis-diagnosed my dog with cancer, he YELLED AT ME today for just showing up with my dying dog without an appointment. Even though I tried 6+ times and the useless secretary doesnt answer. Every time I go there he just shines a light in the dogs eye, feels her leg and makes up a story. First time he said it was her hip, then soft tissue in her knee. Only after I DEMANDED an x-ray did they find the cancer. AVOID THIS MAN! He will offer to put your dog down in a second, but good luck getting any real compassion from him.

We've taken our 2 dogs, 1 cat to PTP and have been pleased. Knowledgeable, caring and happy.

Dr. Mike is a great example of what is great about Nederland. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring and not too busy. He is great with my kids letting them listen to our dogs heart beat and check his eyes. He followed up with us after we brought our dog in for an infected eye. Highly recommend, and so does our neighbor who first told us about him.

We've been taking dogs here for 30 years. If we've ever used a different vet, we regret it. Mike is knowledgeable, inexpensive, loving, and perceptive.

Appointment was made in short notice, and we were able to bring our cat in within a few days. Michael was very warm and personable. He made our cats issue easy to understand and didn't pass judgment :) Seems like he has a big heart for animals too. I can't recommend him enough if you live in the mountains and don't want to travel down the hill.

Our kitten was very sick. At 7 months old, she is a frisky terror, and my constant shadow. But she laid in one spot on the bed all day, curled up tight, wouldn't drink or eat, and shivered even though the house was warm. With 15" of snow on the ground, we couldn't get to the vet that day but I called and they happily agreed to see her the day before Thanksgiving. Dr. Clements was kind and friendly to me, and loved Celeste right off the bat. He checked her over carefully, agreed she was underweight, and we talked through together all the things that could be causing her problems. We agreed on a moderate-aggressive treatment plan since it was going to be a long holiday weekend and a repeat vet visit would be difficult and expensive. She perked up within twelve hours and after two days, is her old self again, chasing the older cats and generally being adorable. Peak to Peak definitely has more reasonable prices than the other vet in Nederland and I like having someone up here that we can see if our animals are sick and we don't want to drive all the way down to Denver to see our regular vet.

I just took my King Shepherd puppy in here for vaccines for the first time. The office is clean and the employees were very sweet and helpful. I came in with my two small children and a raging headache and the Doctor was so good with the puppy and kids. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and to make sure we were comfortable and he even let my kids take turns giving the puppy check ups with his instruments which he showed them how to use properly. It was overall an excellent experience and we just found our new go to vet. We showed up early too and hardly had to wait. The pupper loved him and was instantly comfortable and didn't even notice his shot happening. To see the pup be instantly relaxed and happy there makes me trust the staff a lot. Thank you so much!

I'll start by saying everyone was very nice but my cat Tybalt's teeth cleaning was a bit invasive in my opinion. Just look at his neck, who shave a cats neck for a teeth cleaning...lol I don't believe they even used a cathider to keep him hydrated and to flush his system out after anesthesia. If you want a place with some old school ways. This may be the place for you but my Tybalt will not be going back.

Mike Clements is the best vet around! We have been taking our dogs to Peak to Peak forever and when Dr. Newton retired, I trusted he would leave his clinic in good hands and he did! We bring all of our pets to see Dr. Clements even though we don't live near Nederland anymore. He is worth the 30+ minute drive from Boulder because I know my babies Frances, Molly, Luna, and Albert are in caring, loving hands!

Dr. Clements and is practice is a gift on this earth. Recently camped at Rainbow Lake campground and woke to witness Karma my normally active 11 yr old adopted husky just swaying in a stupor followed by a staggering walk and vomiting. We had plans for a 10 mile hike which she is normally loves. There was no cell service so we loaded her in the car for the 30 min drive and called in range about 5 min out. We were seen right away, given the exam and determination she had thc in her system. I chose to leave her for the day and she could be monitored and my friend and his dog and I could hike. Karma had recovered by afternoon. Dr. Clements called to follow up the following day. This shows his passion for the animals. His expertise with diagnosis is appreciated.
