Easy trail to get to the top of the falls. Have to scale to get to the bottom so we sat at the top awhile and went back. Very beautiful section outside of Boulder though. Original gps had us on the opposite side of the mountain so make sure you are getting good directions.

This was such a fun hike! Almost all in the shade, and right along the creek. The end portion was a little hard to navigate with our two young girls but we figured it out. Beautiful views of a small waterfall and the reservoir at the end.

Nice, beautiful hiking spots. Great scenery and spending time with family and friends. The drive was a bit long and pretty high up but otherwise fine. Moderate terrain.

Waterfall is beautiful ? this time of the year. We loved the hike, it was relatively easy my 6 year old didn't get tired at all. There are will be some up and down areas but it is doable. Also, We found a crawfish in the river. It was an interesting discovery. Parking is a little small, and there is a bathroom over there. The bathroom was just presently cleaned when we arrived.

The parking lot is small and can be packed on busy weekends. There is a bathroom. Easy hike to the end, a bit of a sweat coming back up to the trailhead. The trail is good but rocky/big roots a lot of the way, nothing too hard though. Having a hiking stick helps. Lots of shady stretches and follows a creek most of the way.The trail that goes up and over the falls to continue on to the reservoir is off to the left and not marked. It is the only really steep part, it goes up and over the rocks of the waterfall. There is s small trail on the other side from the main trail that goes to the base of the falls, so don't feel like you have to crawl out on to the rocks above or anything to see the falls.Dog-friendliness: Lots of leashed dogs on the trail.

Beautiful scenery. Nice backdoor way to get to Gross reservoir. Can be icy in the winter so bring spikes if you have em.

Gorgeous hike and on the easier side, so its accessible if you're not experienced, but still some tough spots to be careful around.

Great family hike with some rocky terrain and options for climbing. The hike culminates with a shockingly gorgeous view of the Gross Reservoir.

The trail was beautiful lots of shade, denver water shut down the trail before the waterfall yesterday before we went. Kinda disappointed that they didn't post anything about it. Would have liked seeing the waterfall. Otherwise it's a nice short trail. In and back 1 hour

Great family trail, good hike for kids 6 and above. Kids aged 3 and above could do it but will need extra guidance from adults. We completed this one in two hours with a stop for snacks. Once you get to the waterfall top, climb the rocks to the left to continue the trail that goes down to the bottom of the waterfall and towards the lake. Beautiful shaded trail with creek, wild flowers, rock outcroppings, interesting roots, and enough to keep kids interested. Brought both our dogs as well, remember to clean up after your kids and dogs… keep the trail nice for everyone else to enjoy.

Really great trail, but you should be in decent shape to reach the waterfall as there is a Little Rock climbing at the end. We managed to get our three year old to the end, but it was a big hike for her and the rock part we took extreme care that she didn’t fall.

Love this trail. Slight elevation changes. A little rock scrambling. Beautiful tall pine lake.
