On 11/3 during a quick lunch trip I purchased approximately $250 worth of items at the Party City location off Sheridan in Westminster. Long story short, my sons party was canceled. Since I live closer to the Delaware location, I thought I’d drop by today, 11/27 and complete the return WITH receipt and card used. From the initial interaction, I was plagued with questions from the gal helping me. When she finally reached the finish line, she explained her manager would need to approve the return as it had crossed a certain threshold. Understood. Well, Oscar the Store Manager felt it important to let me know; “you’re lucky I’m allowing you to return this here, usually you need to go back to the store where you purchased these items.” I said “where does it say that on your return policy?” Oscar; “scan it, right there and it should say” well I scanned it and it definitely didn’t say anything about needing to only go to the store where purchased for returns. This was again, peculiar seeing I have the receipt and within 30 days of purchase. Oscar repeated how he was “allowing” me to make the return. He couldn’t explain why the website didn’t indicate the said “policy.” I inserted my card, he prints off two receipts, asks me to sign one and then keeps the other. I asked for my original receipt back, Oscar then says I have to keep it. I said why; Oscar explained that he needed to keep my receipt to send it to loss prevention. News flash; I’m black and by definition loss prevention aims to preserve a business's profits by reducing losses due to theft, fraud or operational errors. Loss prevention is widely used in the retail sector to address problems such as shoplifting and employee theft, but it's also applied in other industries that frequently experience theft and fraud. How is this fraud or theft? I have the receipt, items are unopened and again within the 30days. Get bigots and prejudice individuals out of your organization. The treatment I received was less than sub par. Oscar was adamant that the policy indicated I needed to complete my return at the original store of purchase and that he needed to send my information to loss prevention. Party City, I suggest you respond and take the appropriate actions to prevent prejudice behavior from your staff and more importantly the leaders you have in place. I called another party city to ask if this was the standard to which they responded absolutely not! Unacceptable!

They popped my balloons and still made me pay for the wasted helium. $25 lost and walked away with no balloons.

Came in to get balloons that I purchased on my own to be inflated. I had a total of 6 balloons and 1 was the #2 for my daughters 2nd birthday which is why I even purchased the balloons. Lady assumed I bought them from Amazon (which I didn’t) then said that the #2 won’t float. I asked why and first she said it is because I didn’t purchase from them and then said mid sized balloons won’t work. I questioned them more because that makes no sense that I had several different sized balloons and they will all float but not the 2? She said she didn’t want to disappoint. I had so much to do that I just took a chance. The day of, all the balloons were fine but of course the #2 wasn’t floating. It wasn’t even fully inflated. Why couldn’t you fully inflate it? Nice way to ruin birthday balloons to force people to buy your products when you are the ones offering helium services for outside purchases. I’ll definitely go to fun center next time and pay a few dollars more for good floating balloons. The only reason I’m not giving just one star is for the nice gentleman who helped me out.

Drove all the way over here just to leave because all the Shelves were empty. Waste of time. How are you not closed if there’s nothing on the shelves.

Bought one big balloon and two latex balloons for our daughter's birthday party. Not even half day, the big balloon started to deflate. I had to pay extra $ to supposedly to help the air last longer but the air obviously did not last. I'm very disappointed.

I would not recommend getting balloons here. For the price, the helium should last longer than 12 hours.

I had the worst customer service tonight at The Northglenn store. An employee, named Peggy, not only yelled at me but she was belligerent when she did speak with me. She made me feel like a thief because I couldn’t find my receipt. When I asked for her help in assisting me with a phone call to The Westminster store she said that she didn’t have time. I left the store very upset and I will not be back. This store definitely does not believe in customer service.

I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I ordered Balloons for my 1 year old Birthday party to be picked up. I asked the girl when I was paying for my order if I can bring a Balloon I ordered from Amazon in on the day I was picking up my order to be filled she said yes you can as I waited 15 mins in line it was finally my turn told the cashier I was here to pick up my order and get this 1 Balloon filled she told me it would be 40 mins since they had other orders. I explained what the other girl told me and she just simply said sorry. Asked to speak to the manager he said sorry you have to wait 40 mins. As I looked over I told him that's the girl who told me I could get it filled and she NEVER told me that I would have to wait. He asked her and she said yeah that's what I said and he still did nothing, what a joke of a manager! What's the point of a party store if you simply can't walk in and order a Balloon and have to wait for orders? Doesn't make sense to me, they need to have certain employees doing orders and another for walk ins. That's what a great company would do! I will never come back to this location, rude employees and a manager that doesn't care. What a shame!

The staff is really nice and helpful, but they don't ever seem to have alot of things I need in stock. I wish they did, they'd get alot more of my business

I drove across town to get there before they closed at 9. I arrived at 855. I needed a pair of glasses for the party I was going to. They told me the boss said to not let anybody else in. That's ridiculous when I'm there to spend money and I intentionally drove to your store. I won't be back.

Never ever ever will come here for costumes again. The worst place and employees seriously. They sold my husband a costume knowing it wouldn’t fit and went back, they already knew when he walked in. Then gave him one that “would fit” and it’s tiny. Waste of $50 for a trash costume that even I couldn’t wear, and I am petite size small/med. It says regular adult size and it can’t even fit my little 11 year old brother. Can’t even get our money back for something that nobody can use. We don’t recommend ?

Love this place and the staff. They are always so helpful and great with questions about decorations, make-up, wigs ect. They always have suggestions when I can't quite figure out that something extra. And it's all at a great price.
