While there isn't much to the town of Olathe, this park was perfectly located for me to take entertaining day rides on my motorcycle. Situated between Delta and Montrose, it is very convenient to Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ridgway, Ouray, and Gateway. The park is very pleasant, quiet and well away from the major road Route 50. The laundry and shower facilities were among the best I've experienced among more than 25 RV parks visited in the past year. The staff were delightful, friendly and very helpful. As a bonus, I landed there after the corn harvest, so fortunate enough to enjoy delicious Olathe sweet corn. I'll look forward to visiting again next year!

Really enjoyed our stay at this 50+ RV park. Our site was spacious, gravel with concrete pad and full hookups. Such a peaceful, quiet setting. The nature trail along the river was a great place to get my daily walks in or just enjoy the sounds of the river and nature.Less than 35 miles from a State and National Park. Full trees for shade or open sites as well. Big rig friendly.Check out Morrow Point Dam while you are there and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Situated in the small town of Olathe just 20 minutes from Delta or Montrose either direction.

the owner is a miserable human with a HUGHE ego around people. real sad person in his skin. I'd shoot myself if I was ever married to a man like this man.Noteworthy details: the facilities are marginally satisfactory. in a pinch don't touch the walls or smell the mildewy shower curtains.

Contrary to rental agreement on website, I was not refunded ANY of the deposit collected even though I provided 5 weeks advance notice. BEWARE

We stayed here for two nights. The owner, the office staff, all were friendly and accommodating. Our site was shaded with beautiful Cottonwoods. Pull through site with a cement pad for your RV. The little courtyard with Hollyhocks and rose--leads to a spotless well appointed laundromat. Six washers and dryers and all of them worked! Very close to Ouray Colorado.

We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting the greater area. It was one of the quietest parks we have stayed at. Lots of large shade trees. Also beautiful flowers - many roses - planted in the park. Large, clean laundry room. Some back-in sites are on the river, though I am not sure there is a view of the river from the RV; pull through sites are not on the river. New large pull through sites with large grassy areas are being added, but aren't finished. Most sites were level concrete pads with patios (no picnic tables), driveways were gravel. When they are done and when the grass in all the sites stays trimmed, it will really be nice. Wi-fi was one of the best we have encountered in a park. Cell signal IAT&T) worked well too. Pleasant, helpful owner & personnel. We were there when the elm seed bugs were out. Spraying around our ground contact points kept them out of our RV. They don't fly or bite, just pesky. Plenty of room for our 36' fifth wheel.

An Oasis in the high desert. With concrete pads , very tall mature trees and a very nice trail to walk your pups along the river, this is definitely one of the better parks we've stayed.

A really nice, peaceful owner-operated RV park. Heavily wooded, far from the highway and very quiet, some sites are right on the river. Private bathrooms/showers and a big laundry. The owner, Mark, is very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

The River is just magical and the sites close are my favorites. There is construction across the street which is, well, construction, and not pleasant to look at. Everything went fairly well. During check in, Mark was fairly insistent on getting his payment before we got backed in and set up, even a little. Not like we were going anywhere quickly. A little chill would help all of us feel more comfortable.

This is a well run, clean and very quiet RV park. Nestled between Delta and Montrose, CO in the tiny town of Olathe the RV park sits under a canopy of older growth cottonwood trees that provides decent shade for most spots with the exception of about a half a dozen new sites being created during the time of this writing. The restrooms/showers (6 of them, with at least one I noticed is for the physically challenged) are clean and spacious and are located with the laundry room, which has plenty of washers & dryers. Olathe is a small town so don't look for much to do in it but the Grand Mesa is about an hour and a half away which is well worth the drive to be up in the Aspen trees (high clearance vehicle is a must!). Mark, the proprietor is a gracious host and lives on the property and is usually readily available. This park hosts only visitors who are 50 an older so be sure you understand this request prior to making reservations. There are no wood fire pits at the sites but he does allow propane fire pits. Mark offers a Veteran's discount so keep that in mind while making your reservation.

This quiet park is a beautiful place to relax in between travel or west slope adventuring. Mark is the owner and he's on site, always happy to help. The trail in the park follows the river and changes with the seasons, it's beautiful.
