This place is lovely, nestled in the mountains of the most picturesque town of Ouray. It was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated with the most gorgeous views of the mountains and river right off our own balcony. There is a beautiful walking trail along the river with incredible views everywhere you look. The continental breakfast needs improvement, but otherwise, an absolutely wonderful place and experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay again!

This is Western hospitality at its best! Step back in time and enjoy the vintage decor and many interesting artifacts! (If you are looking for a sleek modern NYC style hotel that is cold and unwelcoming this is not the place for you!) The front desk staff and management was very accommodating to our special requests. The rooms are updated and large with more than adequate storage space. And the king beds were extremely comfortable with warm blankets and coverlets. Every detail was covered - even a magnifying mirror on the vanity for those of us over 50! Plus heat lamps on a timer in the bathroom. There is a mini refrigerator with a freezer and microwave which came in very handy. The best part was the location.... we could listen to the sounds of the river off of our very private balcony/deck. We wished we could have stayed longer than our 4 nights! We were there from Oct 1 - Oct 5th and it was magical!

Very quaint and clean lodging. The room was spacious and had a small private porch overlooking the river and mountains. Close to town, and very friendly staff/management. Great place!

Looks are deceiving! Young families will enjoy the roominess in rooms. Designer shower head in shower is worthless! Low pressure. Fireplace in room for show only. Good too high beds nice decore. No comfortable side chairs just waiting room types in room. Nice deck or balcony on river. Three outdoor Hot tubs but only fit 4 adults, need cleaning, a bit cool if not used, very difficult for older folks or mobility issues to use. It would be nice to upgrade all rooms to ADA toilets! Good parking. Worthless breckfast. Friendly staff. A bit more effort this place could be top notch. Not that close to downtown shopping!

Really great option of you're looking to stay in Ouray. I found the hotel to be of good value for what you get. The hotel is older, but was clearly updated and renovated in the last few years. Close to town and the rooms are all you need. Bathroom is small, but worked well. The rooms have a small deck in the back overlooking the river. Highly recommend checking this place out!Rooms: The rooms are spacious and have large king beds inside.Safety: Felt very safeWalkability: You can walk to town, but would recommend using the trail behind the hotelFood & drinks: Continental breakfast is complimentary in the morning

I cannot believe the good reviews, this place is a dump. Carpets were filthy, and the room smelled badly. pretty view of the river but the sounds of water were masked by the loud air conditioning units on either side of you while sitting on the deck. Amenties in the room were old and cheap. Breakfast was sub-par. seems to attract bikers as there were many revving their motors at 7am while getting ready to leave. only nice thing was walking distance to pool and town.

It's all about the beds in any hotel... and these gave the worst quality of sleep in decades of hotel stays. With hotels getting beds for 50-75% of retail they should immediately replace their beds with the top choice at Tuft and Needle. They need waterproof encasements. They need to trash the colored blankets. The ice machine should be replaced. They should put full size bottles of soap at sinks and in showers, they'd save about 400 hours of labor and cut water usage and energy costs to heat water and save a few thousand a year on product costs. They should replace lighting with dimmable warm white LEDs. Ditch fake flowers.Obviously this property is mismanaged. The front desk people were awesome. But the owners could make small tweaks that would massively reduce costs while being able to fetch average rates twice of what they are today.Put Keurig machines in rooms... they're free to hotels, and use liquid creamers and have a nice selection of coffee and tea.Don't sacrifice quality for budget... Spend to increase efficiency while increasing rates. Also get 4 Tesla chargers... they're free to hotels.Overall, be hospitable... care... provide comfort and an experience and your business will be worth 6 times what it is today. Trust me.

My dad and I stayed at Hot Springs Inn for a few nights at Ouray and we really liked this place. They have jacuzzi's, BBQ grills, and free breakfasts in the morning. The price was not too bad compare to other places with all the accommodations they provided. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. They have a lot of knowledge of the town and know where to go check out and such. We'll definitely come back here again someday!

We came to Ouray after camping outside of Telluride for a couple of days and were hoping to continue camping in Ouray. Unfortunately, all the campsites we could find were already reserved. We look up the first hotel with vacancy (and a reasonable rate) and came across the Hot Springs Inn. For making our reservation as late as we did, I figured we would catch some attitude with the hotel staff. Instead, we were greeted by Travis, who’s smile was filled with hospitality and friendliness. Travis answered all our questions and was a great assist after having to make our last minute change in plan. The location of the hotel was great- right on the Ouray River and was not too loud for being right off the main highway in town. The rooms were very clean and well kept. We also had a wonderful morning and checkout experience with the staff working the following morning. While I hope the next time we travel to Ouray that we are able to go camping, I would not be the slightest bit disappointed if we end up staying at the Hot Springs Inn. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

Great location on the outskirts of town. Balcony view of the river and mountains was incredible.Clean room, comfy beds, quiet location. Breakfast was disappointing with stale donuts and bagels.

4 stars only because the room that I was in didn’t get wifi which I needed for business. Otherwise a real nice hotel with a decent breakfast. Great view over the river even when on the ground floor.Walkability: Yo get into town either walk along the road or better still take a walk along the river.

Great value for money. Our family of 4 stayed at this place for 1 night before we headed off to the million dollar highway.Super friendly staff, rooms have 2 king size beds and are neat and clean. Windows have nets so that no bugs will enter the room if they are left open.

Room is fairly nice but internet is iffy at best.if you plan on watching anything on a tv streaming service requiring the addition of Hulu you are out of luck. The addition of a channel like Hulu requires a pin that would have been added when Roku was installed. Now the problem is management doesn’t know the pin or even how to go into Roku and change or remove it. Might add that Roku is only in room 102, yep you guessed it, the one we were put in. If you want to use air conditioner, it’s a guessing game as to what each button does for you. Looks like someone probably removed the sticker and management hasn’t bothered to put another one on. Folks in front office were nice about all of this, tried to help but had no success.Been coming to ouray for more than 40 years and can say that the establishments here know that people will just keep coming back because of the mountains, trails etc.this will be our last time here. Too many places around such as ridgeway, montrose, and a few others that have worked to keep things fresh. Have to drive further but it’s worth it.

It was a bit hot in the room especially since tbey didnt have mesh on their windows so we couldnt open them because of the bug and of course no AC since we are in Colorado, breakfast was not the greatest thing but not too bad overall.
