Wonderfully quiet rooms (I asked for and was given a room facing west). Super close to the springs. Thank you Timber Ridge for the s’mores ??? . I will return to Ouray and choose the Timber Ridge Lodge for my hotel accommodations.

The absolute best location for not only epic hiking, off roading and climbing but also walking distance to the Ouray hot springs and quaint downtown. The rooms were clean, the beds are super comfy and the shower was so great after long day adventures! They have free coffee in the lobby as well as offer free s’mores kits to use by their campfire! The staff is super friendly and helpful as well as the rates can’t be beat for this area. Ouray is an amazing YEAR ROUND mountain town and should be on everyone’s list.

Realize this place for what it is. An older but well kept mountain motel. No pool, or fancy amenities. But it is clean. The owners are there. They have local info on everything. At night, sit out by the fire and have s'mores with your fellow travelers. There are hot springs nearby. One of the best small towns left in America is a 2 minute drive. And there should be 10 stars for location. Wake up to snow-capped mountains and clean, fresh air. Support small businesses when you travel to keep these unique towns going strong! 4.5 rating is deserved.

One of the greatest places I’ve stayed! Walls are a little thin but my kids were part of the noise so I can’t complain. The walk along the Uncompahgre River, the s’mores by the fire pit, and the sleds to loan all make this place really special. Hosts are really great and friendly. Proximity to everything, especially the Steakhouse (which was great but not always open). Would recommend and would return.

We have been staying here in summer & fall for the last 4 years & just finished booking first summer 2024. Julie & Brian always have great recommendations for all the things you can do locally. We are Jeepers, so we love staying where we have a great place to start our San Juan adventures. Access to the amazing trails is a quick & scenic drive. The rooms are spacious and comfy and the perfect wslking distance to town, hot springs & the river. It never fails that we find the best folks to talk with around the campfire as well! It is truly our home away from home

Very basic motel standard.Clean, but without any coziness!!The sink's waste pipes are uncovered, and the refrigerator and microwave are simply on the floor.Visual protection from the outside corridor is only provided by dark curtains that no longer let in any daylight. So: either dark with privacy or daylight with a shop window.Very thin duvet that was more like a summer blanket. In order not to freeze at night, we had to sleep in very warm heated air.At -8° only single glazed windows. The air conditioning system is located in the middle of the room with an exhaust pipe and cannot be moved.View of a staircase and room with colorful furniture that doesn't fit together. We travel a lot and didn't expect a luxury hostel, but this place is definitely not a feel-good place!!!We had a double room with a queens. Our opinion: significantly too expensive for the standard offered.Sure: the pictures show part of the room in advance. The overall impression only became clear to us when we arrived. You can stay better in Motel 6, which costs half as much!!!It is a mystery to us how this property could achieve such a high rating...

BEWARE BEFORE COMING HERE. VERY POOR HOSPITALITY. Front desk lady/owner was discourteous and was even rude. Service all in all was extremely bad. We got room service after staying for 2 days. I do not know what the housekeeper was thinking. Extremely disappointed. Me and my son got back from ice climbing, hoping to expect a nice clean room. Instead we opened the door to an un-vacuumed floor with crumbs still on it. Towels looked like housekeeper just came in and threw them on there. The bed was the worst part. I got into bed, expecting to find some nice clean bedsheets but instead I found the same soil-stained bedsheets that I used for the past 2 nights. There were past raspberry stains on there from the night before, which should be obvious that it needed to be changed. Pillows also were not changed as previous stains were on there. Very disappointed, not even new bedsheets. Bathroom was extremely cramped, with the toilet just a few inches away from the bathtub, which was also very cramped. I don’t know if this is just me but when me and my son were taking showers, it felt hard to breathe in the bathtub. Back to the owner, she was very rude to me and my son, and we were making coffee in the morning and we opened the drawers we needed to get the pods and I went to get some sugar, but she rudely came and without saying anything, opened the drawer where my son was standing and said take the things from here, and not from the bottom drawer which had the things we needed. All and all, the entire hotel should be a 1 star.I have been to Ouray 5 times before and always stayed at comfort inn which is now quality inn. Should have stayed there this time too. We are back in the area as of December 2023, and we will not be going to the same place as we stayed a year ago with the racist attendant.

My brother and I went out elk hunting and had three days to spend and we went down to Ouray Colorado and stayed at timber Ridge Lodge. We had one of the greatest experiences there with Brian and Julie we got to meet some great people there around the campfire making s’mores had great service there. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and what a beautiful place!! my brother and I are from Missouri so we don’t get to see many mountains out here, all I can say it’s breathtaking out there, thank you, Brian and Julie You guys got a nice place out there!! Until next time safe travels to everyone out there!Nearby activities: Lots of fun things to do there. Great restaurants. Also box Canyon is a great place to visit in Ouray.

Great service by Sherry (I think) in the front desk. She welcomed us with a smile and gave us smores and showed us to the fire pit. It was a great place to stay and relax.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The front staff are so friendly and very kind. We were impressed how clean the rooms were and the bed was great for a good night's sleep. They go the extra mile providing coffee, tea & hot chocolate in the lobby with a beautiful fire place to enjoy them, and relax with some board games that you can borrow. They have a nice fire table out back for the guests to enjoy a cozy night around the fire with blankets provided and complimentary smore kits to enjoy! It was a great stay!!

We stayed an this property for one night during an extended trip in New Mexico and Colorado. By far this place is the most expensive for what you get. Old room layout with the sink / vanity in the living area, poor craftsmanship and materials in the most recent renovation, free-standing noisy AC units right next to the bed....the list goes on. Would not recommendRooms: Poorly renovated, poorly designed layout, cheap materials and craftsmanship
