This place refuses to put hot items out for customers at the appropriate times. I'd say at 5pm there should still be hot dogs, pizza, and other hot dinner items. Pretty sure Golden Gate regional management wants hot food out at that time. This is an everyday occurrence and just laziness.

This place was conveniently located near the place I was staying. Lots of variety of things needed and didn't have to travel very far. Everyone there was helpful and friendly.

Very RACIST & NASTY customer service I got from STORMY & her employees NEVER HAVE I BEEN TURNED AROUND SINCE IVE BEEN HERE BECAUSE OF MY ID. I asked the cashier if they had a store manager the store manager first didn’t want to come out I guess because I was black which is so discouraging then she sees ID AND HAD TO ASK WHY THEY WERE DENYING ME. Soooooo racially motivated & so sinister. DO NOT STOP HERE IF MINORITY, these are some strange people.

Today, on I-70, driving from Utah to Denver,I filled up with fuel at the only Palisade Exit.. When I went into the Golden Gate, I was pleasantly greeted by Josh, who was working at the counter, with equally pleasant Angelo. These young men made me feel safe and welcomed. The restrooms were very clean this time, even though the locks on the stall doors were still missing. Because of the friendliness of these cashiers, I will always fill up at Golden Gate when I am traveling I-70 Eastbound to Denver.

Every employee was really sweet except the one guy at the register. I had brought in my phone to pay with that and when I bought some stuff and brought it up and tried to pay I didn’t realize they didn’t have tap. He just said in a loud flat voice “no tap!” I went out to get some cash quick and when I was receiving my change, he purposely dropped it, didn’t say sorry or acknowledge that, but turned his head to talk to his employee about something not about work. Just plain rude for no reason. I’m sure he knows who he is and I hope he improves his attitude!

Good place for fuel off I70. Easy on and off in Palisade. Fresh coffee, snacks, warm food - overall good convenience store. This location has alcohol for those interested. Bathrooms are clean, petrol pumps well lit, and separate diesel pumps.

The lady working nights she’s older with a grey braid gives off a very judge mental vibe and isn’t very inviting … I miss the old girl that used to work nights she was super energetic and amazing to be around and very helpful but this new lady seems a bit aggressive and rude.

I am almost 50 years old and I went to buy a lighter and they asked for my ID but my ID had a tooth hole from my dog so she refused to sell me a lighter

Normally, I'm not a fan of leaving a rating or providing comments on a gas station/convenience store visit unless something big stood out for me. I stopped here on 30 Aug 2023 to get some gas and use the bathroom. Aside from the gas prices being horrible (like the rest of the country), the service from the employee was decent - wish she had been a little more friendlier/happier, but hey, I'm used to that being a resident of Las Vegas. The biggest highlight for me...wait for it...was the bathroom.Normally, when you visit gas station bathrooms, you get to see some intricate artwork or messages on the walls/stalls. You're also introduced to the wonderful smells of the previous bathroom occupants from 2-3 days ago which can be a terrifying experience if you're unable to hold your breath for a long duration. This bathroom did not match any of the descriptions above; I was pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness of it. I can't say I would go on inviting my family to have a steak dinner in there, but I will say that I was ecstatic of the overall experience.Furthermore, I was delighted to see that this gas station sold Blow Pops because I was down to my last one for my road trip. And who doesn't like a winning scratch ticket? Clearly it wasn't enough for me to become a millionaire, but it did pay for my road trip candy. Overall, a good experience.

Fuel prices lie. 3.97 on sign then 4.07 on pump. Their excuse was I used credit (debit card was used) thats why it was higher. Canceled the pump and went to Maverick 3.85 and this time used credit card. Funny no price hike. Stop lying to your customers Golden Gate! 0 stars if it were possible.

It is easy to get in and out, but the traffic can be very busy on the weekends. Nice wine selections here, if you don't have time to do the wine tour option.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is one reason and only one reason. When 2 people buy 2 arm fulls of items ; body armor waters, ice cream pints, 20 oz Red Bulls, candy, chips etc. enough things that warrant a shopping bag, and being told that credit card can only be used not cash, they should be informed that shopping bags aren’t free and are sold for .10 BEFORE YOU RUN THIER CREDIT CARD AND COMPLETING THE SALE! When I asked for a bag to carry out the 57$ worth of goods from your store, the girl behind the counter said they are 10 cents, I said that’s fine, but then she said she can’t run a sale for 10 cents on the credit card…. I don’t care how much you charge for the bag but at least say something before completing the sale especially when someone buys more stuff than they can carry or if you don’t accept cash and can’t run a card for the e price of the shopping bag. Seriously, after paying near 60$ there the bag should’ve been free. In hindsight I should’ve just returned all my items and went to the next exit, I bet they would’ve been happy to give me a bag for my stuff. I’d hate to think that laziness was the key here. I would’ve bagged my stuff myself, if she was worried about bagging the stuff ol herself. The Golden Gate centers in Nevada do not charge for bags. California is the only state that I knew did. But I forgot that Colorado is full of Californians now. I really hate see Colorados highways become littered with trash like California because of the bag charge.
