Pet Care

Palisade Pet Care
379 W 3rd St, PalisadeWe thought my fur baby was sick and when my husband called, they offered to get him in right away. Sadly, my baby had to be put down and the ladies at this clinic were so beyond kind and caring. They went above and beyond to help us in this horrible time. They were so sweet, trying to console my kids and myself, offering us as much time as we needed to sit with our baby and grieve, even though they were supposed to be closed already. We never felt obligated to make a decision, they never made us feel pressured. The experience with this clinic will have us coming back for our new babies' care. 100% recommend this clinic.

Carlson Vineyards Winery
461 35 Rd, PalisadeWe always love Carlson's. We've been coming here when on vacation for a couple decades now. Carlson's is one of the must do winery's on each trip.
There are other wineries that may appear to be a bit more polished in looks, but quality of wines, friendly staff & quirky outdoor tasting area always take the win.

Varaison Vineyards & Winery
405 W 1st St, PalisadeIf you don't know much about wine--or how to taste it--this place will change that. My wife and I took a weekend trip to Palisade. I liked wine occasionally (maybe 2-3 times a year), but I could only ever tell you if it was "good" or "bad." I never understood how people picked out flavors in wine--until we had a tasting with the owner and winemaker, Alex. He's not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also an excellent teacher. He explained every detail: why they chose certain winemaking approaches, how each decision affected taste and production, and why making wine with care matters so much. I still enjoy my old favorites, but Alex opened up my taste buds. I started to understand how and why people love wine the way they do. The *only* downside to starting your wine journey here? It spoils you. After Varaison, other wineries just don't compare. Alex teaches you how to taste additives, rushed winemaking, and shortcuts--things you used to love might not taste so great anymore. It's a blessing and a curse: a curse because you won't want to drink mediocre wine again, and a blessing because you'll know how to choose wine that's actually worth your money (and that doesn't mean more expensive). Outside of wine, we went to their "Fire Pit Friday." Incredible pizza--some made with fresh Palisade peaches, some with smoked pork--and wine or iced tea to go with it. Alex and his family make you feel like you've been invited to a cousin's backyard BBQ. It's top-notch food and wine, but also the most welcoming and enjoyable place to hang out. We loved it so much, we came back the next night for their 4th Annual BBQ Challenge. Alex and a chef from a local restaurant (13 Bricks) served smoked pork, chicken, and ribs. It was amazing--worth every dollar. You'll find other wines and experiences in Palisade you'll enjoy, but this winery should be the *center* of your trip. You won't regret it. You can't find their wine in stores, but they'll ship anywhere in the U.S. (except Utah, apparently!). Their family-style hospitality extends to their customer service--they just want to take care of you. Places like this are rare. You'll love it.

13 °Brix Cider Bistro
130 W 3rd St, PalisadeStopped in Sunday on the way back to Utah and had a great Brunch. First off we tried all of their ciders and they were all very tasty, with the Peach and Apple standing out as our favorites. I got the Monsieur Croquet and my wife got the Madame Croquet and in her words “it was the best Madame Croquet I’ve ever had and all flavors were perfectly balanced.” The staff were also all super friendly. Definitely recommend a stop in here for a bite and a drink.

Peach Street Distillers
144 Kluge Ave Building #2, PalisadeHow is this place not 4.8 out of 5?? This was outstanding service and the jalapeno bacon Jam is amazing! Hopefully they make a jalapeno bacon Jam pizza but the burger is outstanding. My kids all are telling me to say five star! The bourbon and booze is also good but the food is outstanding! Edit this is not my burger pictured, because I felt moved to write a review I asked a patron if I could photograph his Burger. I am only saying 4.8 out of 5 stars because I figure they're jerks out there who will give it a bad review. I think it should be 5 out of 5 and my kids keep telling me to change it. Clearly I've had too much bourbon while writing this review. The sweet potato salad was outstanding as well.
