This would be zero stars if possible. They did my 2021 taxes and made a mistake by entering the incorrect state withholding amount. Mistakes happen, but the way it has been handled is inexcusable. The State sent me notification of the error/discrepancy in January of 2023. I looked at the returns and was able to find the specific error and went into the branch to have it resolved. They agreed, and we contacted the state to confirm the error so they could provide me a bill of what was owed including fees and interest. I payed the state in full and the returned to the branch to file a claim with the necessary details. That was the first week of February 2023. I was actually able to contact the branch in June, they don't answer the phone or return calls, and they let me know nothing had even been reviewed. It was also indicated that the wrong type of claim was filed. I was told my case would be escalated and I would hear back in a few business days with an update. Needless to say that never happened, and I've only been able to speak to the branch once since then in mid July. I was told nothing had been done, but they would email me contact information for the local district manager . Of course that email never came, and I haven't been able to get them to answer the phone since. It is now early August, and their customer service team said that nothing has happened on my claim since June, but they would escalate again with a 3 - 5 business day time frame to hear back. This is beyond unacceptable.

I’m not sure how Amy has received such positive feedback. Firstly, she failed to show up for our scheduled meeting. I waited for 40 minutes before leaving. Second, my tax documents sat in her office for a month and nothing was done. I attempted to communicate with Amy three times via email and their app and received zero response. I called and left a message with the front desk staff and received zero response from Amy. When I requested that my documents be returned, she had the front desk call to say when they would be available for pick up. Literally the worst customer service for an advisor. I will not be using Block Advisors and I would not recommend them to anyone I know either.

We had a horrible experience at this place. First of all, we tried to set up meeting online and I specifically selected an appointment with a professional yet when we go there we were told a message was left earlier in the day of the meeting that this place doesn't do drop offs at this time of the year. What? The front office person was very upset that we did not return your call and told us to quickly fill out paperwork as the office is closing. My Dad is over 80 years old and was asking questions but kept getting interrupted by the front desk lady saying we are closing. The tax professional was there and said that she would provide an estimate the next day but we never got a call. When my Dad went back to follow up, he was told that the tax professional was not there and my Dad was frustrated wanting his paperwork back. He may have been loud and I was not there but was told to leave the office. This place is very unprofessional and I would not recommend working with them as they don't value their customers, especially older ones who need more help.
