Have taken my dog here twice after being told by the emergency clinic to set up regular care to treat my dogs seizures and to get new medication because the emergency anticonvulsant was not safe for extended use. The vet pressed us to vaccinate our 17 year old hospice dog and gave us six refills of this inappropriate medication. Then after my animal began another active seizure during business hours told me to take her back to animal emergency because they didn't have any open appointments. Like what was the point?? They rarely have appointments available within the WEEK you call and don't properly advocate for your animals.

Dr. Winton is very sincere and took her time sat on the floor with our 6 year old SharPei made her at ease before administering DA2PP and rabies vaccination. Location is right off of Parker rd with plenty of parking. The waiting room is tight but they seem to stager appointments so the place is not overcrowded. Parkside not only called D*** Friends league and reviewed all previous health records and after our wellness exam Parkside also emailed me the most comprehensive exam report. Fair prices with professional friendly vet techs. I wish my human doctor office was this good!

Pretty poor experience I have had here. We got a new pet from a local pet store, Just Pets. The pet store had a health guarantee and in order to activate it, we needed to go to one of their recommended vets - Parkside was one. I called after getting our dog, and they didn't have any appointments until three weeks out. Well, I wanted the health guarantee, so I booked it and we went. Parkside then said then charged me for the office visit, saying it was outside of the 5 days as required in the contract - even though Parkside had no availability. I tried to see if they would give me an office credit so I could continue a working relationship with Parkside, but they refused to do so Parkside eventually stated they have been telling Just Pets to stop sending patients over, but this was never disclosed to me. I told Parkside when I initially made the visit where I got the dog from. They should have disclosed then that they had a bad relationship with Just Pets, or should have told me that if I waited the three weeks, that they would charge me. But instead they said nothing. Made me wait, took the money, and then offered horrible service. I would not recommend this place. If they can't be upfront and honest about this situation, what would make anyone think they would be honest and upfront about your pets health? Clearly money is their driving factor.

I took my cat here to get his teeth cleaned, two weeks later he has passed. They did not give me proper directions on after care. Apparently he was supposed to have wet food after he had four teeth removed because of his stitches. When I called right after I picked him up, to double check, the receptionist told me to continue his normal diet. I trusted what she told me and my poor boy was having trouble eating because he could not chew his food which made his anxiety worse. He was constantly throwing up and I knew something wasn't right. When I called the office six times the dr insisted it was due to stress and refused to see him because "she would have to sedate him". Instead she gave me some crappy baby food that when I tried to give it to him he was so agitated he started foaming at the mouth. I don't care if you were trying to help. A GOOD, PROFESSIONAL dr would have brought him in and look at him, especially after a patient spending a total of $800 on a teeth cleaning/extractions. The next day she still refused to see my dying cat and said to go to the ER and spend even more money. Well, it turns out he had kidney failure and he died. These people are careless, lazy, money hungry, and refused to help my cat when he needed them most. When my dad spoke to the Dr, he said she was dodging the problems Nigel was having and acted like she could care less. If I would have had the proper directions at the beginning after his teeth cleaning, he would probably still be here. SHE SHOULD HAVE HELPED HIM INSTEAD OF SENDING ME TO THE ER TO SPEND THOUSANDS MORE TO END UP WITH A DEAD CAT. Due to him not being able to eat or drink, he suffered kidney failure. My poor, sweet, innocent boy. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Please, please do not bring your pets here. They are unprofessional and only care about making money. Now, the Dr is trying to tell me I was verbally abusive to her staff after she saw that I posted this. I'm sorry, but when you tell me directions over the phone about feeding my cat his normal diet, I am going to trust those directions. But when you give me false information, and refuse to see my dying cat because you are "too busy", I think I have a right to be angry over the phone. That is NOT verbal abuse.. That is a normal reaction from a pet owner concerned and angry for their dying animal. Trying to fault me to make yourselves look better is absolutely disgusting, especially when you are making false accusations. She told me to "definitely" bring him to the ER if he had a giant ball in his stomach, that would be the only reason to bring him to the ER. He did not have a ball in his stomach. If I would have listened to her and not bring him to the ER, he would have suffered even more instead of being able to pass peacefully being euthanized. She blamed all of his symptoms on stress. Absolutely terrifying how we let people like this have a license to "help" animals. If you could share this I would so appreciate it. Nigel was only 5, he didn't deserve to pass this young and under these circumstances. The point of this is, despite your discharge notes, if I want to double check about proper care for my cat over the phone, then repeat what is in the discharge notes and make sure your receptionist knows what she is talking about, don't tell me something different. And take care of the dying animal that you were supposed to make healthy, don't just blow him off. Thank you.

Caring Vets if you can get past the receptionist when your fur baby needs to be seen. Push the issue if necessary. All 3 of the Vets here are really great & take a genuine interest! I've asked for scripts to be sent out to save money & they are nice about it!

I almost never write reviews, but we had the absolute best experience with Animal Emergency and Specialty Center And wanted to share. I have a Chocolate Lab with diabetes and due to a miscommunication with my husband we accidentally gave him a double dose of insulin. I was told to bring him in immediately. Animal Emergency Center had a very well designed process for doing curbside drop off to reduce the risk associated with COVID 19. They were so kind and helpful, quickly got my dog and called me to give me my options. They were clear about what the options were and helped me navigate to the option of getting an at home glucometer to check his blood sugar again later that evening instead of leaving him there for several hour. We were in and out within 20 minutes. This option was the least costly for us but also safe for my dog. Unfortunately his blood sugar was too low when we checked it later and had to bring him back 4 hours later and again they were absolutely wonderful. Again we were in and out in about 20-30 min. They did not charge us at all for the visit. Because his behavior and vital signs were totally normal despite the low blood sugar they just told us how to manage it throughout the night. I have never EVER taken either of my dogs to the vet and not walked out with a bill of at least $90. I was so impressed with this centers ability to help us navigate our options, take care of our pet and also not overcharge. Every person I spoke to there was kind, helpful, understanding and lovely. I hope to not have to return but if there are any more pet emergencies at our house, this will be the first place we go.

These people were the absolute best. My mom had to put her dog down, she had a heart condition and was barely able to move. The doctors and nurses were so compassionate and gentle with her and with us. They allowed us time with her before she passed and took the utmost care with her, even after she was gone. My mom receive a very sweet card with her ashes a week later. Even amid the COVID crisis, these people have not lost their empathy and we appreciated that very much.

They helped me out when my poor doggie (that is 13 years old) was suffering from bad joints. They are so sweet and kind and care about the animals. They pointed me in the right direction with medication and natural medicine. Thank you so much for your help.

I can only speak to the Neurology side of this Emergency Hospital as that was why my girl was there. I think there are better places to take your pup regarding Neurological issues, or should I say, ruling out Neurological issues. They seemed like they would be helpful, got us in right away, Dr. Song and Kristen were very friendly, although after upwards of $1400 and no official diagnosis, I don't feel like I would return to this hospital in an emergency. They are helpful until they are stumped and then they are in a rush. Absolutely no answers to my pups health issues were founded. They put my pup on meds that gave her intense diarrhea for a condition that she didn't have. When they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her they pretty much stopped trying to diagnose her. Not a great experience overall. I will have to take her to a different specialist and start over if my pups condition doesn't continue to improve.

It was hard to rate this place because of the mixed interactions I had. My dog swallowed a sharp foreign object and had endless diarrhea so I brought her in and they shaved her belly and little arm for an ultrasound, my dog has had this done before. (This process and my interaction with the vet was a good experience) When I brought her home her arm looked a little gross but I just assumed it was irritated from the needle and she's an pretty sensitive dog. Then her arm broke out in a blood red rash, but I still didn't think it had anything to do with her visit, just that she was irritated from it being shaved because again, she is very sensitive. But THEN I noticed her entire belly and arm had broken out in a blood red, broken skin rash, I called to say I think maybe something you guys used did this, or maybe she was even allergic to a gel you used? If I could just bring her in so you could look at it without paying for the emergency room visit because I don't think it's an emergency and I just want an opinion on something THEY did rather than getting a different vets opinion. The lady on the phone was very rude and said It's too late and that I should have brought her in as soon as I saw the first thing on her arm. (Which was as soon as I brought her home so obviously I waited a few days) so I have made an appointment with another vet but I can only assume her blistering rash is from something this vet did while shaving my dog, and my dog is sensitive so it could not be malpractice but I was not givin the opportunity to rule that out because they won't look at it. I just feel like if this vet caused a rash on my dog they should be responsible for clearing it up instead of telling me "it's too late." UPDATE those were clipper CUTS not razor burn we went to a different vet and they said they did a terrible job shaving her.

Our Bernese Mountain dog puppy had a cluster of symptoms that caused our vet to refer us to AESC. From our first contact at the front desk , to the vet assistants who listened and supported the Vets .. to two of the Specialists Vets... the care was exceptional over the months of his care. The testing process , information and support for the pups rare disease was informative and in depth. Sadly, we had to euthanize him at 10 months of age. Doing so was very difficult but made much easier having a full understanding of what was happening to him in his body and hte caring support of the team. We have a Ranch and are animal people with a lot of animal experience. AESC is a true asset to our community
