What a great organization! I adopted a dog from them back in 2017, and he has been such a true and joyful companion for years now. My dog has a natural therapeutic nature and is so good-looking that he naturally attracts the young, old, and everyone in-between. Now that he’s mature, I plan on getting us certified to help veterans this coming new year. Thank you, Ty and Sara! Forever grateful.

Ty and Sara’s #1 priority is the welfare of the dogs on the ranch when they are there and when they are adopted out. There are reasons they have rules and every adopter signs a document stating that they will adhere to those rules. The people who choose to lie and outright slander this amazing organization just because they feel entitled and don’t have to follow the rules they agreed to should be held accountable. I can’t say enough good things about the care and love these dogs get. Ty is literally on call for any adopter who needs help with their new dog. He’s all about making it a good experience for the dog & adopter.

I have to say that Ty & Sara have the most compassionate and loving rescue sanctuary I have ever seen. I have been on their Facebook website for around 2 years and have seen all the hard work and love that goes into their program. They give of themselves, so that the animals can have a happy life, whether they are lifers or will be adopted out.Ty and Sara are veterans who gave not only to their (our) country, but continue their mission to make sure all animals are taken care of and are a part of a loving family forever.God Bless you both and your staff of volunteers!

I have worked with Painted Paws for the past 4yrs, and adopted my service dog Barry through them. I met the owner and proprietor of the organization and we hit it off right away. I understand why they have the rules in place that they do, I have been there when dog's are returned for various reasons. Whether it be the dog wasn't as good of a fit as was thought, or the Veteran had to go away for some reason or another. But when they say they dont adopt to Active Duty is simple as a lot of us know we dont have what is considered the most stable job out there. And as an active duty soldier and a veteran I understand where they're coming from. I have also fostered and adopted another dog from a local rescue as well. My dog's are very well taken care. With all of this being said if you got your panties in a bunch or got your feelings hurt then be an adult and Charlie Mike.

I don’t know if PPFV realizes, but they helped me at an extremely hard time in my life by finding a forever home for a pup I had. I was told I could not have children naturally so I found a furbaby. Had all the plans for training and outings and etc, did all the research I possibly could for his breed. and then shortly into this furjourney... I got pregnant. High risk due to previous miscarriages. I wasn’t able to take him to do all the things we used to and I felt terrible because it was triggering behaviors and depression. He would stare out the window looking sad and bored out of his mind. There’s no way I could let that go on for another 8 months. Reached out to the community for help and found PPFV. His whole demeanor immediately lit up when they came and it’s like he knew they were good people! They were so empathetic, kind and understanding and kept me updated on him even after they found his forever family! What truly amazed me was that they didn’t just let any random person adopt. They did meet and greets to find his perfect match and put his best interests first. When I was having some kind of empty nest issues and asking about him and sending puppy pics for them to give to his momma they were so sweet to me and talked to me about how I was doing. Wonderful people and I’m so glad I found them!

Awesome organization that deeply cares about the welfare of their animals. My Brady, the light of my life, was adopted from them 7 years ago. Very honest, ethical rescue.

Amazing people doing amazing things for veterans and abused and abandoned dogs. Those dogs are living the good life and are not given to just anyone! They come first and foremost ALWAYS! Ty and Sara are always there, even after adoption, for support. If you have ulterior motives for his dogs, move along. They don’t play! You will not get away with anything! Thank God for these amazing animal advocates!
