I do hope that a new post office is built in Falcon and that the PO in Peyton remains as is. I have always gotten stellar service from the front desk. I was so impressed by the level of care toward my needs.

I have had problems with this post office for years, but I could live with them. Bent mail, along with packages left by the gate instead of the porch ..The reason for this review is I had my honors diploma mailed to me in an envelope saying do not bend in the front with big letters.. what did they do ? Shove it in my mailbox and bend it.. I was so bummed out beacuse it was a big accomplishment for me to only recieve bent.

Use FedEx or UPS if you can. Only use the USPS if you have no other choice. I have been watching my packages come into the Peyton facility only to be redirected to Aurora, Denver, and now Lake City, CO. My mail has been stolen twice from my community box (there were no signs of forced entry, which means it was a current or former employee) and the only thing the USPS does is put a slip in your box telling you it's not their problem and to contact law enforcement. I have had mail jammed into the box with no regard for damage. The shameful part is that we have no choice at times but to use USPS and they act like that can't be bothered to do their jobs correctly.
For you people that say that this poor facility is doing its best, I say: No, they are not. There is absolutely no reason for packages to be routed to another facility from Peyton, for someone that lives in Peyton. The only answer is human error...and let me tell you, there's a lot of human error coming out of the Peyton USPS. This facility does not ensure that packages are efficiently delivered which is negligent and wasteful. It's ridiculous to have a priority mail package take over a week to show up when it's being shipped from within the continental US all because the local facility won’t sort packages properly.

For a small rural post office they have done a great job. We have never had any major issues. A lot of the negative reviews come from the large growth area (Falcon) to which they really need their own post office as it's likely been really hard for the Peyton post office to keep up with all the population.
Recently, there was an important package we needed before leaving out of town Monday morning it was set to be delivered in the evening. I called the post office and spoke to Angela at noon on Saturday right before they closed. I explained the situation ,she asked me for the tracking number and my address. She said she was working on Sunday and would call me if it came through. She did find it, and took the time to call me at 11am on Sunday. Sadly, I was in church and missed the call, tried to call back but they were closed, darn, thought that was the end of it. An hour later she called back and she left it there for me first thing Monday morning so I didn't have to wait for the normal delivery. Small things like this make a local Post Office stand out. She didn't have to take the time to look for my package, call me twice, set it aside, but she did. Thank you Angela and team for going above and beyond.

Never delivers my packages on time and says a package is delivered and never got in my mailbox.

Totally useless Pose Office. Open 9-430, so forget about stopping there before or after work. And they don't even have a drop box for you to put letters in while they're not open.

The person saying the post office shouldn’t be at fault for mail theft, believe me, our problems with this post office go way beyond mail theft. Since I’ve moved to Peyton almost 5 years ago there has been mail delivered to our address that isn’t ours on a fairly regular basis. I had a paycheck of mine that was sent to another household. Our neighborhood often will receive notifications that a package was delivered in our box and it’s not there. This is a common occurrence where in many others places I’ve lived this type of thing was very few and far between. So yes, the post office needs to make some changes because this is their responsibility.

Never had issues with a post office losing packages like this location does. Just constantly losing or putting packages in other peoples mailboxes.

Came here to return an item, asked if they needed my original box to ship it in, and guy said they'd take care of it and didn't need it because I've returned items at other offices before where they'd package it fresh so I figured ok. The seller received the item in a beaten and battered box because they didn't package it at all, so I didn't even get my refund. I don't know who looks at an item and decides to just slap the return on it plain.

I cannot say enough great things about the team at this post office! I made the mistake of putting the wrong zip code on a package rightbefore christmas, and they went above and beyond to ensure it was located and I was able to pick it up. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, understanding, and proactive. They took the time to listen to my issue, track down the package, and even followed up to confirm everything was resolved. Their efficiency, professionalism, and dedication to customer service are unmatched. I left feeling so grateful and impressed. Thank you for turning what could have been a stressful situation into a positive experience! This post office truly sets the gold standard for excellent service!

Apparently, I am in the minority on here. I have lived in my house for 24 years and the only problem I've ever had was the Christmas season when Amazon changed over to the USPS, drowning them in packages. Everyone has been very helpful and pleasant inside, and our carriers have always been great. I've never had any problems with theft and I have a parcel box for packages that works great. Lots of bad reviews and I'm not sure why the post office should get dinged for mail theft. Not really their fault, is it?

Kudos to the postal worker who stopped at the diamond shamrock in Falcon, parking at 1 of the 3 working pumps to go inside for like 20 minutes while cars were backing up in line to get gas, only to emerge with her arms literally packed full of snacks that her very large self absolutely doesn't need. Way to be a glutton AND in the way! Truck 1202384 if it matters.
