Kelsey Creek NFSR 528.G is a free outdoor shooting range located near Buffalo Creek, accessible via US Hwy 285 South and Park County Route 126. The site offers a short-range shooting experience, with visitors needing to bring their own targets, tables, chairs, and medical supplies. While the range is generally praised for being a convenient and open place to shoot, some downsides have been noted. These include the lack of a designated firing line, leading to concerns about unsafe behavior from other shooters, as well as issues with litter and garbage on the ground. Despite these challenges, the range is still regarded as a great free option for outdoor shooting enthusiasts, particularly during the week when it is less crowded. Visitors are encouraged to be vigilant, practice good gun safety, and help keep the area clean by packing out their own trash.
Just a simple spot to shoot! Not very big you gotta share only abt 8-10 spots when packed. No bathrooms no private spots or driving to another area

Pretty decent spot. Definitely a small range and we were completely full with other shooters, but everyone was decently respectful. Borrowed some spare ear pro from someone and got to see some crazy rifles. Busy on weekends.
