“I had to go to a 2nd store to get more of what i wanted and they were so nice to me. I bought Christmas gifts out of the more expensive isle n bought myself the same because the products were so nice. They will make excelent gifts.”

“We come in here often after grocery shopping, never had a bad experience. Cashiers are friendly. Wait times can be lengthy but I’m never really in a hurry. I always find things I don’t find in other dollar trees.”
“For Drivers. The staff here seem fairly friendly. The lot is a back in from Tucci Street. Sight side. It's got plenty of room. Lock your truck doors if out of it for a long period of time.”

“Only issue I’ve had so far is that they never have the brand of cigars my husband and I smoke in stock and they are the only place close by that carries them. Other than that it’s a great store with awesome cashiers”
“Store is always under staffed, but staff is nice. Products are always in boxes on the floor in front of empty shelves, the parking lot has pot holes that will eat your car. Location is convenient though. This one time I saw a completely naked man walking around the parking lot digging through trash cans-always lock your doors and bring hand sanitizer :)”
“Dollar General is our only grocery store within walking distance. The staff tries very hard to deal with the rigors of their jobs. Stock moves very quickly here so many times the shelves are bare but the aisles are full of unpacked stock. The staff should be complimented and better appreciated by some in the neighborhood. Rumors of threats from locals, an abundance of thieves, always under the threat of being robbed, the staff deals with a lot not in their job descriptions. Bessemer better wake up and start acting right because if this store closes we will all be walking to Soopers for milk and bread rather than to the corner.”

“I go to this particular Dollar General often since I live close by. The selection could be better, and the prices certainly aren't the lowest, but it's convenient, and the employees are really great. They always greet you when you walk in (which isn't very common nowadays) , are friendly, and are very efficient in checking out when there is a line. They are really what justifies the 5 star rating.”
“Usually i have good experiences. A manager who had to cashier because it was crowded turned me away from her line . She must only have wanted to do onky one or 2 customers while the reg cashier was nearly in tears. I left the store. It really made me angry looking at the lazyiness of the manager. I havnt frequented the store much since then because of the negativity and the pride of managerial staff toward the reg staff. Unequality.”

“Last week, my handicapped self went to FD on Elizabeth Street. And all I have to say is KUDOS to each staff member in the store. From the cashier who price checked items, rang me up, double bagged everything & it wasn't just one or two items either... To the second employee who helped her bag all my stuff & to the store manager who, along with the second employee - CARRIED MY BAGS TO MY CAR! WHAT? Who does that? Evidently FAMILY DOLLAR EMPLOYEES ON ELIZABETH Street! Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart for giving me top notch service. This is true customer service. Being my first time in that particular store, they made sure I'll be back to that side of town to shop at their FD! Thanks ladies!!

“While shopping this evening with my granddaughter, the 2 employees were watching 2 shoppers that were sketchy. I had mentioned to my granddaughter that we needed to be sure of our surroundings when going back to our car. These employees both stood right at your stores entrance in awful freezing temps and made sure we made it safely. These 2 should receive some kind of recognition for the diligence in protecting your stores assets, as well as the customers. A thankful Grandmother and her granddaughter.”
