I signed up to take one of Rick’s classes, and it was definitely the best route for me. I think gun safety is especially important, and Rick was in the same boat. The class is probably double the time you would spend in a class at a hotel or Sportsmans Warehouse, because you look at different guns, talk about their uses, effectiveness, as well as proper use and technique for loading and reloading. He also discusses the various state laws and what you need to know up to the most current date using links he provided to me in class. After the 4 hours of learning, Rick and I discussed setting up a later date and time to practice shooting because this class comes with an hour of shooting instruction as well. His class is not expensive, as it was probably the most I learned for $65. Rick is serious about what he does in teaching gun safety and training, and there is no one else I would want to learn these things from. If gun safety is not important to you, I wouldn't recommend this class and would naturally assume you will go get necessary permits from a random workshop which might not even require you to hold a gun throughout the entirety of the class. I would recommend this class to anyone serious about learning the fundamentals, being safe, and all of the laws that govern gun laws, as well as how/when they can be used.

I really enjoy shooting with Rick because as an extremely busy single mom he has a flexible schedule that allows me to still schedule and hour with him whenever is best for me to shoot at the range and I can still be done in time to get back to my kiddos. I like how he coaches you and trains you to shoot safely and correctly five stars I recommend him! I also like that if you don't have a gun he will let you use one of his!!

5 stars….. only because 10 isn’t available.Rick made this class relatable and made me think about situations that I need to be prepared for. I was worried prior to taking the class that it would be boring and I would be falling asleep. Not the case. Felt like I was talking with a friend.I also work a 9-5 m-f job and when I was looking around most classes available were during working hours. I called Rick and he worked with my schedule to make sure he could accommodate me.Highly recommend

Rick's class is the most comprehensive CCW class I've taken. It's a great value because it covers so much information and offers "hands on" training. I've taken a CCW class previously and it was a disapointment. We were in a packed hotel conference room, had no hands on opportunities, and the presentation was bare bones. Rick took time to give detailed answers to all questions and encouraged an open dialogue. I highly recommend this class!

This is the class you need to take! Do not go anywhere else! I had been offered a concealed carry course through the local big box store but they did not have a date that worked for my schedule. I did a little search on google and found Rick. I am so lucky to have found him! The course was highly informative, interesting, and well presented. The hands on portion was eye opening! The tips and tricks were invaluable for not just handling a gun, but handling one safely. I will be taking more courses with Rick to gain the confidence needed to protect myself and my family in the safest way possible. If you are on the fence about where to take classes, this is where you need to be.

I recently took a firearm training course with Rick at Have Gun Will Train Colorado and I was thoroughly impressed with the instruction I received. Rick was knowledgeable, patient, and made the learning environment safe and enjoyable. The course covered a wide range of topics, including basic firearms safety, handling, and all local and state laws. I feel much more confident and comfortable with my firearm now. I highly recommend Rick at Have Gun Will Train Colorado to anyone looking to improve their skills, or learn more about firearms.

Rick is a great instructor, his course was great not only for beginners, but taught us veterans a few new concepts as well. If u want great instruction and a few laughs thrown in, definately give Rick your business.

As a woman with no previous firearm experience, I was nervous about taking this class. But Rick was fantastic and I left feeling much more confident and safe around firearms than I expected to! The class is affordable and very detailed, and I will be taking more!

Rick is an incredible professional in his field. My boyfriend and I signed up for his firearm safety class, and we left having learned so much more than we thought we would!! I highly recommend Rick's classes, and my boyfriend and I will be back!!

First time taking a CCW class. Rick is an excellent instructor and has a vast swath of knowledge. He goes above and beyond state training requirement and makes for a very enjoyable class.
