I have had Angela A cut and style my hair 3 times in the last 9 months or so. She cuts it dry which means it gets cut the length I want. She styles it and is more than willing to give you tips. She's a real sweetheart. ?

ZERO STARS! Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT JC Penney in the Pueblo Mall!!!I called JC Penney salon to make an appointment, and was quoted $70.00 for a simple root touch-up and a slight trim. When I arrived, I was assigned to Alyssa, who would not stop talking about how she was promoted to “Senior” status…??♀️(???)during my ENTIRE appointment. She bragged about her “professional skills” as a stylist, and gushed about herself constantly, to nauseum! When I went to the front counter to pay for my haircut and root touch-up, I almost fainted when the dingbat cashier charged $135.00!!! Of course, I became extremely upset, but was suddenly was ganged up on by several dingbats, so before I ended up in jail, I walked away, and thought. I could speak to the manager to resolve this issue… When I arrived at my home and looked in the mirror closely, I saw huge, long chunks of hair on one side of my head and VERY short pieces on the other side! Also, my bangs were 6 inches long/NEVER cut on the left side of my forehead, and cut too short on the right side, and my grays were STILL gray, so Alyssa hadn’t colored my hair correctly NOR cut my bangs or my hair evenly at all!!! As far as resolving this issue with the “Manager”, NO SUCH luck! When I spoke to the Head Dingbat, she IMMEDIATELY made excuses for the idiot who quoted my price initially, saying that her stylists are trained to say that the prices “start at $70.00”… and I must’ve been wrong!!!? This was NOT the case! I corrected her, telling her EXACTLY what her stylist had said to me, and told her what a MESS I ended up with. I returned to the JC Penney Salon, found the “manager”, and insisted she fix my haircut at LEAST. After BARELY trimming my bangs a bit shorter on my left side, she dismissed my concerns and never as much as offered me ANY amount of a refund, which would have AT LEAST helped when I had to go to A REAL professional to PAY AGAIN to get my entire head of hair REPAIRED, RECUT AND REDYED!!! SHAMELESS!!! I wouldn’t recommend JC Penney Salon to my WORST enemy!!! Needless to say, I’ll NEVER return to that place! And WHOMEVER promoted Alyssa is JUST AS CLUELESS AS SHE IS!?????????? Alyssa needs to go flip burgers somewhere, and NEVER be allowed to touch another human being’s head.

I would like to give a shout out to Alicea Valdez at JCPenney salon in Pueblo Colorado!! She went above and beyond today when she was able to give my daughter Bell a last minute haircut for school ( mom and dad the procrastinators)!! Not only did she do an amazing job, she was also very professional and friendly!!! Bell is pretty timid and not too talkative and Alicea had her talking and laughing the entire time!!! These old ladies don't know what their doing. I asked for a DRAMATIC A LINE cut but got a stacked bob .Short to my chin!!!! It was by my mid breast bone beforehand. DO NOT RECOMEND AT ALL EVEN TO MY ENEMY.Services: Hair coloring

Sharon fixed my hair after a couple of really bad haircuts I had gotten elsewhere. My hair was uneven and my layers were short and choppy. I went in and was really scared to let someone even touch my hair again because of my bad experiences of getting two bad haircuts previously at other places. But she evaluated how bad my hair was and told me what she could do to fix it. She listened to me when I told her what I originally wanted my hair like, and she communicated to me what was possible to do with my hair in the condition it was in. She let me have a few minutes to think about it and I’m glad I ended up trusting her to fix my hair because my hair is much better than it was before.Service: Haircut

I gave a 4 because I love the girls. Rose, Sara and Mayung are all excellent. HOWEVER, it is an absolute shame the condition of the salon. They are always busy but JCP apparently doesn't value them enuff to fix this salon up at all! The sinks don't work most of the time and there is 10 of them!!!! How can hairstylists work sharing 2 sinks??? Also the whole place needs an update which could easily be done half at a time and still continue business. I also over heard the girls discussing their hourly pay and it was pathetic. Come on JCP. This is one of your most valuable assets...step up!Service: Hairstyling

PUEBLO: Run past this place. Do not get your hair done here. I have always gotten my hair done at other Penny's salons with great results. That day was the first time I had my hair done at Penny's in Pueblo. I wanted a simple haircut with coloring to cover grey. A color was applied to my hair and it was totally too light. I previously told the girl I wanted a dark brown. She said she would have to dye it again because there was something wrong with the dye they used. She said "the same thing happened last week! She went back and mixed more. The color was better but washed out in a week and left my hair dryer than the Mojave desert! Then........she took to my head like Edward Sizzorhands! She left the front long and cut the back really short. I wanted to cry but I paid them, (even tipped her because I was one the brink and didn't want to make a scene). My hair looked crazy!!! I went to go get my nails done at a different place and was asked by another hair dresser who was getting her nail done as well, if "I wanted her to fix my hair"!! Not kidding, it looked so bad she felt sorry for me. Run..............do not stop!

I'm am finally cooled down enough to write a review for this place. First I want to say I paid for my haircut and. coloring and gave a tip even though it was the worst experience I've ever had because the job was done and the stylist probably needed the tip. I went in to have my hair colored and cut. The stylist had to color my hair twice which dried it out tremendously! She put a hair color on my hair which was light brown when I asked for dark brown. She said this has happened before and blamed it on the brand of color. That's when I should have left. Then, I told her I wanted my hair cut but long enough to still curl in the back. She asked me if I wanted it shaved. Did I say I wanted it shaved?? Then I repeated what I had said. She cut the back so short, my sons hair was longer then mine. She left straggley long hair in the front. She didn't show me the color (s) before she mixed them, just slapped it on my head. I am new to Pueblo and had very good hair stylists at the Penny's where I am from so I assumed this Penny's would also be great. Was I ever wrong!! I will never go back to the Penny's salon in Puebo. Never, ever!! Run, don't walk past this place!!Services: Hair colouring
