Busy Sunday morning there was a wait list. We were seated after a while and ordered coffee and omelettes, then the wait began. We waited patiently, waiting for more coffee, waiting for food. Then we realized that parties that came after us were eating, finishing and leaving, this was a couple tables. The couple next to us said they waited a long time for their food too. My husband asked one of the waitresses about our omelettes, she snapped at him, and said " We're busy!!!", pretty ugly attitude. The couple next to us said, " Wow!, she didn't need to be that way !" So we waited some more, when we should have left then. Finally the food came out, barely warm, obviously had been forgotten about and had been sitting back in the kitchen. Think this place has gone down hill, have eaten at Kates many times over the years , and was always pretty good, we don't live far so was always a good choice when passing through Ridgway. Think they are busy because of reputation, but that won't last . Next time we'll just go across the street, Kate's isn't the only game in town. So in a nutshell we paid $40 plus for 2 cups of coffee and two breakfasts that were inedible. Most places would have corrected their mistake, not Kates, so disappointing. Needs new management, and lose the attitude.

Have eaten here several times and lately the food seems to be rushed. Orders aren’t correct, bread isn’t toasted, skillet potatoes are burnt.

Kate's Place is AMAZING! Definitely a hidden gem in Ridgway! The server was kind and friendly, while it took a little bit to get our order taken, food came out pretty quickly! Had the breakfast sandwich and it was phenomenal!

Recently renovated it's blue now. The inside is still the cozy cafe you're used to. Friendly faces and excellent service.

I dined at Kate’s many times. About a year w the food and service went down. Not sure what happened but the last 3 meals I had were terrible. I won’t be back.

A hidden gem when driving through this small town. Everything was amazing from the omelettes, to home fries, to biscuits and gravy. Pancakes were light and fluffy with a great edge and great service. Cute vibe with local photography and clean wooden decor. Highly recommend.

What else is there to say it is Kate's place. I love everything about the place. The food is home made the gravy is real gravy. It really is a place that is embedded in the town of ridgway and is apart of the community.

Kate’s is a favorite for me, love the atmosphere it’s like a little small town breakfast/ lunch restaurant. My fav is the snuffles skillet, just love it, and they do have a gluten-free options which I very much appreciate. The portions are great as well, I usually have some leftover for the next day – Yum?Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten-free options

If the owner will stoop so low as to steal newspapers to cover up a r@pe allegation story...just imagine what he's hiding in the kitchen!
