I was the most excited customer to ever visit. And it did not disappoint! We are adopting our two children from Costa Rica and Luis’ restaurant is the only Costa Rican restaurant in Colorado that I know of. I’ve never had ceviche and was nervous to try “raw” fish. But oh my word. It was so yummy. I was even more impressed by the watermelon juice. Freshest fruit I’ve tasted in CO. Wish his restaurant was in Denver so I could have a different drink from here every day. He also makes the guac fresh upon ordering. Wow, Luis, gracias! Can’t wait to bring our kids!

If your in town, you got to try this place. The food is simply stunning! Also the prices are very reasonable for the area and the man who runs the restaurant you can tell her puts so much effort and love into his food it's just overwhelming with taste! I strongly recommend the Latin fried rice and or the cevice as there just both amazing choices

Wow; I live in Ridgway but first time popping in here. Glad I did. Best Fresh Limeade I have ever had (coast to coast) and the Piccadillo potato tacos are awesome. Great smashed guacamole too. This limeade is addictive. 5 Stars.Vegetarian options: Chips and guacamole. Chips and homemade salsa. Potato tacos. Great pick/slaw mix for tacos. Fantastic Limeade!!!Dietary restrictions: I eat kosher so I was only interested in vegetarian options.

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this establishment for lunch on Thursday, August 24, and I must say it was quite disappointing. I ordered a fish taco plate, a small ceviche, and Mexican chicken fried rice, which came to a total of $49 and change. I opted to pay with my credit card and refrained from adding a tip at that point, as I typically provide tips in cash based on the quality of service received.I signed the credit card receipt and handed it back to the owner. He looked at the receipt and in a snarky tone said "Thanks for the tip". I explained my tipping philosophy; I believe in rewarding good service rather than presuming it. Sadly, this interaction set the tone for what would be an overall unpleasant dining experience. The food itself left much to be desired. The fish tacos, comprising a piece of mahi-mahi on a corn tortilla, were lackluster. While a cabbage salad accompanied the dish, dressed with vinaigrette, there was a noticeable absence of the expected creamy fish sauce that could have elevated the flavors. The small ceviche I ordered also fell short of expectations, lacking the vibrant and enticing flavors that should characterize this dish. Even the tortilla chips, served unceremoniously in a baggie, failed to impress with their taste and texture. The Mexican chicken fried rice was only marginally satisfactory. It lacked the bold flavors that one would associate with Mexican cuisine, leaving me underwhelmed and unimpressed. Given the steep price I paid for these three lackluster items, the overall value was undoubtedly poor. Spending $50 on a meal that fails to deliver in taste and satisfaction is a disappointment. However, the biggest deterrent to any potential return to this restaurant was the owner's attitude towards tipping. Rather than focusing on providing exceptional service to earn gratuities, the owner seemed to exhibit an entitlement to tips before any service had even been provided. This disregard for the importance of genuine service left a significant negative impression on me.In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was marked by subpar food, lackluster flavors, poor value, and an off-putting encounter with the owner regarding tipping. The promise of an exciting and flavorsome meal was entirely unmet, and the overall atmosphere was overshadowed by this unpleasant encounter. I certainly have no intention of returning to this establishment and cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to others seeking an enjoyable dining experience.

The cook/server was so rude I don’t think I’ve had such a terrible experience in a restaurant ever. Interestingly, there is another reviewer who had a very similar experience as I did. The cook/server is the only one working and he is so stressed that he can’t deal with anything in a polite manner. I ordered my food st the counter and her wanted ti make sure I entered an amount for the electronic tip so he poked at the tip space repeatedly to make sure U tipped him (which I did and was planning to do). The entire bill seemed way too high so i added up the cost of the items to make sure I was correct. I called him back to tell him the bill was incorrect (he had overcharged me) and he grudgingly and angrily voided the amount if the food but not the tip. Then he rang up the food again and i tipped him again. I didn’t notice that the void didn’t include the $7.50 tip I had added in until a few minutes later. So essentially he got tipped twice. When I mentioned that he hadn’t credited back the entire first bill he angrily tried to say that he never rang up the tip in the first place. Well if he didn’t ring up the tip, why was he do insistent that I enter a tip? And how was he going to collect a tip if he didn’t charge my credit card? The man was just so aggravated that ai wanted him to void the whole first charge that he was causing a scene and then one of his buddies who was eating there came over and started giving me a hard time. The whole thing became a scene and it totally spoiled the nice evening my husband snd I planned to have. The food, too, was nothing great either. My husband’s fish tacos were very plain and had nothing but fish and cole slaw. My ceviche was overpriced for such a small serving. We had a terrible evening and the cook/ waiter got a huge tip because he refused to credit back the tip from the first check.

This restaurant is wonderful. If you are looking for clean authentic fresh food this Costa Rican place is for you. I had the vegetarian fajitas with rice, fresh coleslaw (lime juice based) and his amazing potatoes. I have a lot of food allergies and chemical sensitivities and I felt safe eating here. Those of you who know that struggle know how hard it is to find 'clean' places to eat.
