This place told me that if I return the dog before 10 days I would get my money back but when I returned him on the 8th day she said I never paid when I have 2 proofs that I did pay and I never got my money back. They stole my money

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this dog clinic has been frustrating to say the least. Getting in touch with them is nearly impossible. I’ve called multiple times during their business hours, only to be sent to voicemail or left waiting with no response.
What’s even more disappointing is that they’ve promised to call me back on several occasions—and never did. It feels like they just don’t prioritize communication or follow-through. When you’re trying to take care of your pet, the last thing you need is to chase down the clinic for answers or appointments.
I hope they make some serious improvements to their communication and customer service because right now, it’s just not working. Pets deserve better, and so do their owners.

I don’t want to be too hard on Journey Home, but I feel like I need to share my experience. My husband and I adopted a cat from them who they said was recovering from a pulmonary infection. Sadly, just 20 days later, he passed away from a heart disease that no one warned us about. We were completely devastated. The vet who checked him a week after the adoption didn’t catch it either, and that’s why I don’t blame it completely on JHACC. After reading other reviews, it seems like this kind of thing happens a lot. Just a heads up if you're thinking about adopting from here.

Worst staff possible, wasn’t given anything but misinformation. Tried to adopt a cat but instead we were thrown on a wild goose chase for 3 weeks and ended up only getting our hopes up for nothing. Absolutely the WORST animal shelter experience I have ever had. 0/10 Would not recommend.

Went to journey home to get a family dog. Connected with the one that was in there the longest and she was about 7-8 yrs old. Within a week of having her she had 3 seizures. Journey home claimed they had no idea of this. Took her there within the 10 day mark for their policy and all they could do was blood work and heart worm test. Everything came back fine. I thought it was the food that I bought her but I switched to the food they were giving her. Another week passed on the food they were giving her and she has had two more seizures. This company is not honest about their animals.

I can't say enough great things about Journey Home. I had an unfortunate situation where my mothers dog needed caring for. I already have two dogs and for various reasons I could not take her dog as well (as much as I wanted to). I reached out to all Utah shelters and tried to get him a home. I had no luck, and honestly very little help or support from the Utah shelters. I was really discouraged, sad for the dog and upset at my local shelters. I then reached out to many surrounding states shelters. Journey Home was by far the nicest. They helped me through the whole process. I drove there and back in one day and got to meet Morgan and she was wonderful. She took the dog back and I knew he would be in great hands. I am still really sad that I could not keep him or see the family he will get to enjoy life with, but at least with Journey home, I am confident that he will enjoy life. Thank you Journey Home. You really made a hard situation easier to handle.

THIS IS NOT A NO KILL CENTER!! I came here to get my friends dog who was supposed to be given to me after he passed away her name was big mamas she was the sweetest dog ever. I talk to the girls at the front desk who told me she had been adopted after I explained the situation they asked for my information so they could reach out to the people who adopted her. A week passed and no one had gotten back to me so I called them. They told me there manager would call me asap. A few days later (today) I got a call she told me they had killed my dog because “she had a weird head tilt and was puking” I know for a fact before mamas went to that shelter she was NOT sick so either they made her sick or they are lying and put her down because she was dog aggressive and they did not want to deal with it. Mamas had a very hard life and was put into dog fighting very young and was abused in homeless camps before my friend got her. I loved that dog more than anything she meant so sooo much to me and so many people and they didint even have the decency to tell me instead they lied.
