“This post office, hands down, has the best service I’ve ever received at any post office. And I say that as someone who has lived all over the country and had PO boxes in many states and localities. The two women at the counter are always extremely courteous, welcoming, and helpful. And it’s been consistent—I go in often, and they’re always the same. And importantly, I always see them extending that service to others as well.
I’m honestly baffled by the negative reviews. It makes me wonder if people with bad experiences feel more compelled to leave reviews, while those with positive experiences just don’t.
The only reason I took away one star is that they have to lock the doors to the PO boxes at night. Unfortunately, this is because people were coming in after hours, sleeping there, and vandalizing the place—sometimes in truly disgusting ways. I think USPS as an organization should step in and do more for them. It’s not fair for two already busy employees to start their morning cleaning up trash, urine, or worse.
That said, I can’t say enough good things about the service here. The women at the counter have gone out of their way for me multiple times, and it always feels local and friendly when I stop in.”
“The staff here are so friendly and helpful everytime I've gone to ship anything. I live in Rifle and drive to Silt to use their services because the Rifle PO is so horrible.”
