We paid for our PO box, and kept returning to no mail. When I talked to the lady, she informed me she "forgot" to put in that We had paid for our PO box, and returned all our mail to the senders. It's ridiculous. Now for weeks we've been trying to play catch up to get all of our mail back again, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. All because she "forgot" to do her job.

This post office, hands down, has the best service I’ve ever received at any post office. And I say that as someone who has lived all over the country and had PO boxes in many states and localities. The two women at the counter are always extremely courteous, welcoming, and helpful. And it’s been consistent—I go in often, and they’re always the same. And importantly, I always see them extending that service to others as well.
I’m honestly baffled by the negative reviews. It makes me wonder if people with bad experiences feel more compelled to leave reviews, while those with positive experiences just don’t.
The only reason I took away one star is that they have to lock the doors to the PO boxes at night. Unfortunately, this is because people were coming in after hours, sleeping there, and vandalizing the place—sometimes in truly disgusting ways. I think USPS as an organization should step in and do more for them. It’s not fair for two already busy employees to start their morning cleaning up trash, urine, or worse.
That said, I can’t say enough good things about the service here. The women at the counter have gone out of their way for me multiple times, and it always feels local and friendly when I stop in.

The lady was very rude! I’m new in town and have never had a PO Box before. I was just asking some questions and she was talking to me like I’m a child. They need to fire her.

Here we go again. Missing packages. Packages showing as out for delivery for 3 days. Packages arriving in rifle, then out for delivery, then showing as in glenwood, then back to rifle, then 2 or 3 days for actual delivery. Who's running this show?

Never answer their phones. No matter what time you call. Always with bad attitudes. Not really wanting to assist with any issue you might be facing. Horrible. Unprofessional bunch.

if I could rate it 0 stars I would! I'm positive they intentionally turn off the ringer to their phone, from 9am to 3pm when we showed up, we were calling constantly. while waiting in line to speak to someone we called once more and not one ring was heard so they're being sneaky and lazy. their carriers are useless at their job and lazy. making excuses for putting packages in wrong tubs, sure even though you have all the correct information there. God forbid you have a problem with any mail or packages or need to call for a question because you'll end up mad and not any more knowledgeable on the matter

Failed to deliver my package and left a tag in my mailbox and then when I set the time to reschedule and gave instructions on where to put it they failed to deliver it again the instructions were simple and stated exactly what to do but they refuse to leave the mail truck and would rather right a note saying they failed to deliver it

I don't know whats wrong with this place. Worst post office ive ever dealt with. If you call or go in and ask about a package that says "ready for pick up at Rifle post office" or anything for that matter and you get the old lady with glasses she berates you and gets defensive about anything and everything. Shes rude as hell and their excuse is always that their driver is "sick" even when you pay extra to get important time sensitive packages its never their fault but yourss as a customer.

Like most, I've also experienced the wrinkly old blonde woman with glasses being a rude and miserable person. This woman is absolutely unhappy to do even the most basic tasks, is abrasive without cause, and does little to help. I don't know if, despite possibly being older than the USPS itself, that she realizes she is the only reason she's so angry at life, it's not the customers who are coming in to find solutions. I'm not sure if she's ever sought therapy, but it's highly recommended. If you meet Sandra, however, she's wonderful and exceptionally helpful.

They will leave a tag in your mailbox instead of leaving the packages like delivery instructions insist. Doesn’t seem too hard to follow delivery instructions…

Can’t get a hold of them. This place has had my package for over a week and yet to deliver to receiving address. Phone number isn’t updated. Can’t get a hold of anyone called local business in the area to see if they are open and get the same response from them all saying they are understaffed and to avoid the place.

No wonder no one wants to work for you all. The blonde lady that works is here is insanely rude to say the least…
