Nice quite place, clean restrooms. Campsites spread out so you are not on top of other campers. Camp host very friendly.

This campground doesn't have water at the moment and the hosts haven't really done a good job cleaning out the sites after people leave. BUT, it is still an amazing campground! Most of the sites are along the stream. Many are quite large and level. A very wonderful place near the Bishops Castle. I was able to gather some left over fire wood from vacant sites but I did notice trash in a couple fire pits that was left behind and never cleaned out. Small issue, but could attract pests. Would still come back here over and over again for the scenery and lovely layout of the campsites. #8 is a great site

Great camping sites! Camp hosts were super friendly and the bathrooms and camp sites were very clean. The creek is so peaceful. Loved the bear boxes. The waterfall nearby was also a wonderful bonus! It was a little difficult on the hike just because of crossing the creek with small children, but totally worth it. Plus this campground is super close to Bishops Castle and Lake Isabel ?Restrooms: Clean, take a flashlight at nightDog-friendliness: Many people had dogsPicnic area: There are fire rings, picnic tables, and bear boxes in every camp site

We camped in the forest to the south of this campground but our friends tent camped in the campground and loved it. I can tell you that the woman that owns the place is very friendly and has a great personality.

Lucked out driving through. Got a spot directly on creek. Small spots, mainly for tent camping. We have a 16' trailer. Remember it's bear country, keep your food stored properly. The creek is not a washbasin. Pit toilets were clean.

Great campground. The creek is so fun. There was a lot of bugs but that is a usual with camping near water. I loved that Bishops Castle is 5 min away. I usually don't camp at campgrounds and was pleased on how nice this one was. I will be back next summer.

Place was clean and owners were friendly....although I think I was purposely overcharged....$25 a night for a tent site !!!!.... but they also allowed me to raid their wet wood pile...had to leave early....too cold at night...

Amazing four day camping trip!!! The area is absolutely untouched and gorgeous... plenty of firewood to keep you warm just laying around so don't forget to bring a saw. Nice sized sites that have picnic tables and firepit area. Plenty of trails and a cool natural slide/waterfall attraction walking distance from the campground.

This place was a disaster. Both of the camp hosts recently quit, so there’s no one working here. Saturday night there were horns honking at midnight, kids screaming and music blasting. No one enforces the quiet hours. Definitely don’t stay here if you’re looking for peace and quiet.

The camp host this year was not to good. Bathrooms were nasty, smelly, and out of tp. The old guy that used to be out there would hang dryer sheets in the restroom and mop the floor and clean the toilets. Bring in your own firewood, it is 8 dollars for a really tiny bundle. The weeds and grass was cut back a bit which helps moving stuff around. Other than that the place is as beautiful as it usually is.

We had a great time at Ophir. We camped here at the end of June. I can’t say enough good things about our camp hostess Shelley. She was so nice and fun and helpful! The best camp hostess ever!!! She told my boys the 3 camp rules and it made their day. ??? The campground is beautiful and lush - the river runs right next to most camp sites and it’s a pleasure to listen to. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. Shelley told us about Lake Isabel which was a beautiful little lake 5 minutes away. You can pack lunch and spend the day there. Bring your kayak or SUP. Bishop’s Castle is less than a 5 minutes drive. It’s fun to spend couple hours exploring about.Couple things to note and recommend: 1.) It rains here A LOT. We had our pop up camper so it wasn’t so bad. But for tent folks, it could be wet and rough. Our neighbors with a tent left early after a 24 hour rain day/night. 2.) Bring a canopy or two so you can eat and hang out even thru the rain. 3.) Bring a propane fire? pit if you have one. It rained 2 out of the 3 nights there so it was hard to build a wood fire. 4.) Bring swim suits for your kids so they can play in the river. It’s cold but kids don’t seem bothered. 5. Enjoy!

We love coming to Ophir Creek!! Nice and quiet, clean bathrooms, well maintained. Nice campsites with room for tents, picnic tables and bear proof trash cans and such. There is also a nice trail for a hike up to an amazing waterfall! We enjoy coming here to camp?
