Artists Vincent & Carolyn L Tolpo opened Shawnee Mountain Gallery, Studios, and Pottery in 1981 in Shawnee, Colorado, USA. This historic structure was built in 1904 and is a significant structure in the Shawnee National Historic District. Shawnee Mountain Gallery offers unique one-of-a-kind art in many media; pottery, jewelry, paintings, prints, fibers, metal, and mixed-media artworks. Carolyn and Vincent make art pottery, open-stock dinnerware, and functional work. Carolyn’s designer jewelry features antique and hand-made beads, and semi-precious stones. The visiting public enjoys the wildflower gardens featuring abstract / assemblage sculptures created by the Tolpos.
