“This is a cute little, no frills Motel on US 285 in Springfield, CO. Expedia had messed up my Reservation with another Hotel in Town, so had to look for alternative lodging. It actually worked out as it gave me an opportunity to check this place out. The bathroom was recently remodeled and the rooms were clean, has TV with Dish/Direct TV, microwave, small fridge. I think this will become my preferred lodging for future visits to the area. BTW, I am a middle aged female who was traveling by myself. I felt safe and secure in my lodging.
Rooms: Simple and clean. Recently remodeled bathroom. TV w/ Direct TV and ability to log into streaming channels. Microwave, and Small Fridge.
Safety: Being a female, traveling by myself, at first glance I wasn't to sure. But after checking in and getting my room I realized it was a decent place to be.
Walkability: Close enough to walk to the local restaurant as well as gas stations. Did not get a chance to see what other sites, i.e. parks are near by.
Food and drinks: There is a nearby Steak House that is great to eat at. There is also a pub/bar, nearby that you can get food and drinks.”
“7-29-2024 Rm#14 Clean. TV, Bed, A/C, Frig, Bathroom... All good. Pet friendly with small pet fee. Call to see if they've got a room and price for room and pet(s)... i had 2 small dogs. Hot water in sink & shower. A/C will get a chill..!!! Just a room.. nothing fancy. Older motel ... I think they're fixing more rooms as they can. Courteous and friendly owners who will chat with you if you're inclined. 2nd one night stay.. about 1/2 way between Lubbock and Denver. Nice, homestyle restaurant, about 3 blocks down. Regular unleaded gas was $3.29 at Love's and the station across from it. Things close up early in small town Springfield. Subway at Love's also. Lots of low rolling prairie between here and Denver! Patience. Elevations in the 4,000s instead of 5,000-6,000 through Clayton, Raton, Pueblo, & Colorado Springs.”
“Jon I believe his name was, the Hispanic gentlemen had some of the best customer service and hospitality I have seen in a long time. I am a Gold member with Hilton so I’ve stayed at many hotels. It shows that he genuinely cares and strives to meet the sneers and concerns of his guests. In the little time I spent I saw him take in care of front desk, man the bar, & fix a broken toilet. Though this hotel doesn’t have everything bigger places have to offer the hospitality & cleanliness makes it worth the price to stay here.”
