We were in Steamboat for a ski vacation- and my teenage daughter had been asking for cowboy boots for over a year. This was the perfect store with a huge selection. We had a well seasoned employee helping her decide on the perfect fit too. My other daughter found a great shawl/ scarf too.

F M Light & Sons is a great western clothing store in Colorado. You see similar stores more often in Wyoming, so finding a well-stocked store in Colorado is great.

There are a few T shirt and souvenir stores and a few really expensive clothing/boutique stores. FM Light has a lot of western gear from average to expensive. We found a cute fleece jacket for our granddaughter for about $25. It's dog friendly too. Check it out.

Very friendly staff, great selection of western wear and souvenirs. Some stuff is a little on the pricey side but they had some great sale items as well. Definitely something for everyone here!

Several people in my family consistently buy boots from this store. It is my wife's absolute favorite place to get boots. Great selection and a great group of employees, absolute top notch!

This used to be a classy beautiful western store with quality western products, and it was a pleasure to shop here. It’s so disappointing to see how this store has declined…over stocked to the point that you can’t even walk between clothing racks without knocking items to the floor, every display is a complete disaster, kids running out of control shooting pop guns, and playing hide and seek in the displays, knocking people down. Not enough employees to control the crowds, much less offer quality service. The boots area looks like a bomb went off. The clothing areas are so jammed packed with cheap, unorganized merchandise that you can’t walk through them or enjoy your shopping experience. Kids screaming everywhere. Pop guns going off. It’s like being at a western theme Chucky cheese without the pizza. Not the pleasant organized classy western store it once was. It’s more like a merchandise warehouse/corral for out of control kids. Very sad to see such a decline

Tree Line Candle Co and F.M Light and Sons went above and beyond to help me get the Longs Peak candle in their black container. We drove to Steamboat Springs to purchase this candle for a close friends wedding two days prior. The bride wanted this candle for the detailed photos on her wedding day and as a gift to her husband-to-be. Upon arriving at the two locations which sold the candle, we found out they did not have them in stock. Heather at F.M Light & Sons, as well as another store associate at Moose Trading Co, went above and beyond when they found out the candle was for a bride. They reached out to the owner of Tree Line Candle Co, Chris, to see if he could retrieve the candle from their warehouse located in SB. Chris was extremely friendly and went to the warehouse, received the candle, and met us at Moose Trading Co, where we could purchase the candle. Upon arriving back in Fort Collins and delivering the candle to the bride, she was ecstatic. Thank you, Tree Line Candle Co, for all your help!

You can not count the number of boots for sale! Custom fit of real cowboy and cowgirl hats. Sweet variety of bright and interesting western-themed clothing for men, women, and kids. A few clever trinkets for sale. Warm blankets, leather belts and purses. In the back, an awesome collection of old time toys, none of which require batteries. Look up western toys from 1950s and 60s.

The original 1806 stained glass is a highlight. Western wear at its best. Staff was polite and not pushy.
