Overland Trail Museum is a nice and huge local museum with much more to see than you would think, capturing so much history. It is a great combination of Native American artifacts, early settlers, and numerous collections, including rocks. There are several exhibitions and displays, interactive areas, a walk-in caboose, plenty of show antiques and machines, and a leather tannery in a big red barn. It offers an immersive educational area for kids, lots of activities, and is very interesting, clean, and well-curated. It also provides a beautiful, unique, gorgeous, and historical setting for events like wedding receptions, with a charming fountain and gazebo outside. The staff is absolutely incredible, outstanding, helpful, and dedicated, making events stress-free and exceptionally well-managed. Conveniently located right off the interstate, it is affordable with a military discount. Visitors highly recommend it as a wonderful museum and a perfect, insightful glimpse into the past.
