Now that this store has been updated and the merchandise inventory is more like an actual grocery store (less fresh foods and meat) I can honestly say THIS STORE IS TRULY CONVENIENT. In all actuality the prices are only somewhat higher but milk, eggs and butter are equal and even less than the grocery giant. Staff is consistent but they are consistently turning over new staff. I used to know everyone by name. Now its faces because no one wears name tags, and at about 6 months they're gone anyway. Stocking is a real issue here. I see staff struggling to get products on the shelves while still getting customers through the register and out the door. The corporation did not consider bagging products at the register for the remodel because they have very little room to scan groceries and bag them, especially if there are more than 2 bags to fill. I will say that with all the staff has to do, the stores interior image has greatly improved. Clean floors and bathroom (90% of my visits), shelves stocked to about 80% and with a large parking lot too. This is where I see the most debris and litter but the wind out here is a huge reason for that and I can imagine that keeping it clean is a whole day task in itself. The staff, whether short term or longer still try to be courteous and pleasant and they earned the 4 stars in my rating.

DG of corse is the quick stop for anyone in Strasburg, never have an issues. I do have to share that I got some balloons for my daughter’s birthday beginning of March. It’s been 4 weeks and this thing is still floating. Good helium!

This place has gone downhill so bad. Ever since the store manager changed, nothing is ever stocked, the isles are always blocked with product, and it's so dirty. It's horrible.

There has been a change in management, the store has been closed for 2 days now due to weather. Other than that they are trying to get all the product out. Normally they have what I need at a decent price, the prices could be lower. It is dollar general.

The atmosphere has gone from comfortable and friendly to hostile and unpleasant. Their employee yells at other employees and customers.

Lazy workers, no clear reason for not doing what is advertised. FEDEX should not use this location as a pickup drop off as the manager for the DG location is lazy and thus gives FEDEX a bad reputation.

The way the employees act are unreasonable. Absolutely no manners. Don’t know if I came in on a bad day but I won’t be coming back to this store again.

I get good customer service ever know and then depending on who's working, the store is always a messy and can't get to stuff because stocking carts are in the way and haveing empty shelves is not a good thing as well.
