I go to this Safeway daily, until now. Danette in the precooked foods is miserably nasty, no customer service skills, and not a pleasant demeanor. Out of the handful of interactions I've had with her not a single one has been good. She is always upset, always nasty to me, always short and rude. I was waiting for someone to assist me with getting some baked chicken she came up it just said what do you want. I told her I would like to get some chicken she goes okay what do you want. So I had to be extremely specific with her. She hands me the bag I said thank you she doesn't even reply just walks away. This was just the last incident the other times have been just as nasty if not even worse. I always try to project a happy and friendly demeanor but I don't know what is her issue if she is like this she should not be working with the general public. I feel sorry for other people to have to interact with her.

Staff is kind and always friendly. The deli is awful - expired products are not uncommon, salads that should have been pulled days earlier, expired cheeses and meats as well. If they do not have expired items on the shelf, the shelves are often empty. I once told someone who was restocking shelves that I came across several expired items in the deli, and was 'reassured" by her that they give those items a few extra days beyond the expiration date because they are not actually bad. The stench of something I had bought the previous day did not agree with that sentiment. Today I bought a salad from the deli, it looked good on the surface, but the lettuce in the middle was black, the cheese was like cardboard, and the chicken like rubber.
I visit this store several times a week, around 8am, as it is near my work, it's a good day if the deli is stocked and products are not expired . . . unfortunately, there's not too many good days.

No cashiers. Not one! Self checkout only. No help either. I rang up $300 worth of groceries on that tiny table. Terrible GF signage! Do not recommend this one.

03/03/24 at 1:30pm Paul was working at the self checkout registers. I had two discounted items that needed attention. From the start he had the worst attitude with zero customer service and extremely moody. I’m not sure who would hire this person when clearly this is a people job.

Stopped in to get a few things and found everything easily. The store was very clean, the sales clerk was helpful and friendly.

Went to the pharmacy, got there at 7:57 pm (they close at 8) and asked for a simple alave D.... easy. pharmacist grabs the product and rings it up. By the time we get to the checkout, i realize i left my wallet in the car, I ask the tall Caucasian man with brown hair and blue eyes if i can run to the car and grab it (literally 30 seconds and back) and he wont let me because they were closed. I've worked in customer service so I understand customers coming last minute sucks, but is 30 SECONDS for me to run and get my wallet so difficult? I would have appreciated a little more grace in this situation. Not good customer service.

I have been getting my injectable estrogen at the Safeway pharmacy on Colton Road for six years now. When I went in last time to get my prescription filled I was told I need a prescription for syringes?? they refuse to give me my syringes that I absolutely need to take my medicine.… My doctors office said it’s ridiculous that they are claiming I would need a prescription for syringes for my medicine. I will be going to another pharmacy to have my estrogen filled because the people at this Safeway pharmacy are clueless and have prevented me from taking my medication for the last two weeks. I have filed a complaint with Safeway corporate.

Called to get a premium gas price and the guy could or would only tell me the regular gas price. Ridiculous and unacceptable!!!

It would really be nice if this store’s deli stayed open past 4pm. I went in at 4:45pm after work and found the entire section closed down. Many people aren’t even off work yet, seems like a poor management decision.

Stopped in tonight to pick up a few things... once again, no cashiers. Self checkout only. But there were 3 staff standing next to the register, completely ignoring me. Finally, the bagger asked someone to help me. I won't publicly shame him by giving his name, but I can say that this person was having a bad day and probably shouldn't be in a front facing position. Safeway, how can I be more clear? I want to shop at a store with real live people at the cash register.

I have noticed a big improvement in this Safeway since Tonya D has been managing it. I recently had excellent customer service from Eileen G. who went above and beyond to help me. In general, the employees seem friendlier and more helpful than they used to be. I'm giving it four stars instead of 5 because the quality of food is not up to my super high nutritional standards, but for a regular grocery store it's good and I am happy to have this near my home.
