An absolute gem of a place with unique soaps, household items, cards, chocolates etc. Whoever owns this place has a great sense of taste, with a nice touch of “Tellurideness”.

This is hands down my favorite shop in Telluride, beyond fun. My shopping companion and I came by twice in one day. They have things that are beautiful, unique, funny, and everything in between. Some things seem pricey, but it's Telluride so duh. Others seem very reasonable. They have packed a whole lot into that small space without it feeling too crowded or overwhelming. I can't think of anything but super positive things to say about Hook.

What a great store! Yesterday, as I was walking past on a break during a vacation work day, I noticed my favorite chocolate bar in the window and that drew me in. I didn't have time to look around, but did buy two bars and chatted briefly with the two friendly women behind the counter. Note: one bar already "disappeared" as I was working in the afternoon. ;-)Later in the day, I stopped back to check out the entire store. Again, what a great place! Lots of items that are cool gifts for either someone or yourself...and everyday items such as soaps, lotions, throw pillows, and much more! While there's a lot to love about the store, my favorite section may have been the cards. No, make that it WAS the cards! They reminded me of my favorite card store in the world, called Two Neat -- located in Mill Valley, CA. (Yelp it and you'll see why.)Needless to say, I'm surely "hooked" on Hook! ;-)

STAY AWAY! POLICE WERE CALLED!! My father in law bought us a wedding present the day before our wedding. The day after our wedding we went to return it. We asked the girl behind the counter (shirt, shirt hair and wearing a trucker hook hat) to look up the original receipt, since it was never provided to my father in law. She wouldn't. Instead she gave us a store credit without even asking us how we wanted to be refunded. I asked her to void the sale and as we wanted it back on his card, we were told 1. We don't put returns back on the purchaser card because then they knew you returned it (which he knew we were returning but that's besides the point) 2. "Do you want to come show me how to void?" She was unbelievably rude, snotty and condescending has no client service skills and clearly lacks knowledge and training of her job to not know how to void a transaction. I then asked for the owner. The owner Lynn Moore came out from the back. We explained the situation and she refused to look up the original receipt and refund us. When I asked her for her return policy and to show me in black ink where it states that- she became hostile and irate. She yelled at my husband and I and said "you are horrible people" and then proceeded to tell us to get out of her store. Then she walked out the front of her store and told us she would "lock us in". I then explained to her that I was not leaving and that she is scamming people by not giving an original receipt so she can give store credit to keep the purchase funds in- house. I then said "let's call the police and have them settle it" she became threatening and aggressive. She said "you don't know who you are messing with !! I know all of them!!" (Which makes me think she's had the police in her store before) I then called the police. Officer came to scene less than 5 mins later and heard our story as we waited outside. Officer went inside and spoke with the owner. Officer ending up resolving the matter where the owner wrote us a check. Officer then stated that she was unable to answer why there was no original receipt given and if my father in law came to return the item what would happen? Note to owner- YOU didn't know who YOU were dealing with. Ps. It's my opinion, that You're in the need of serious professional mental help and should be out of business for the way you treated two newlyweds staring their honeymoon.

I popped into this adorable shop a few times during our visit because it was just the cutest! Each time, I found new things that I loved. The first thing that caught my eye was a big display of delicious gourmet chocolate bars as you walk in! Yes, please! This mama can't have wine right now, so give me all the chocolate! I really loved their home decor items. I have an obsession with tablescapes and their cloth napkins, placemats, etc. were gorgeous! They have yummy smelling candles, soaps, and lotions that make great gifts as well. All in all, this is a fab spot to stop into if you're looking for a gift or unique home decor items! I also don't think it's super overly priced like some other shops in Telluride. :) I scored the cutest Christmas tree ornaments on major sale, along with tasty chocolate bars. It's safe to say that I was a happy girl. Definitely pop in here if you're roaming the streets of Telluride!
